The hotel seems to be run on a minimal staffing level, but the staff themselves are courteous and helpful. The reception is only occupied for several hours each day so queries are not always answered promptly but Rosie, the main point of contact, is available on site and is contactable. Our room was functional and clean but lacked any extras. The shower/bathroom was very good with plentiful hot water. The tv was very small and irksome to operate. No room telephone was provided.
The hotel has reasonable free parking at the front and rear. The location of the hotel very close to the beach and high street is a real plus in it's favour.

Breakfast was fine and the food was well cooked. The l9cation was very good as it was walking distance to many facilities. Staff were pleasant, helpful and friendly.
The door to our room would not shut without being lifted and brute force. The hinge was faulty. This resulted in the cleaners not being able to close the door which we found unsecure after they cleaned. The way breakfast is served requires better coordination. For example milk should be brought out with the teas and condiments brought out with the toast. On two occasions our tea went cold waiting for the milk. The hotel does require a make-over.
