Very clean and nicely furnished hotel. Nice large swimming pool. Professional and generally friendly staff. Very good food offering (especially dinner) - wide range of choices and good quality. Being welcomed by the restaurant manager and head chef when arriving for dinner is a particularly nice addition, along with some food being reserved for late check-ins (including myself), which was a nice surprise. Nice to have an outdoor bar as well.
Side note: This hotel and the area its in heavily skews to German, Austrian etc. tourists and I initially regretted not realising this before booking. If you are British and like to socialise with fellow hotel guests then you may want to look elsewhere but personally I didn't mind it at all. I still felt welcome as an English speaker and I actually enjoyed there being a German influence on some of the food (the meatball stew and chicken cooked in a beer sauce dishes were amazing).
Sadly my stay was significantly impacted by noise disturbing my sleep/rest in my bedroom during the night and early morning. The corridors amplify noise (the hard flooring probably doesn't help) and every night there would be guests returning to their rooms talking far too loudly (often shouting), with this usually happening more than once each night.
I also found the cleaning staff to be too loud on a couple of occasions considering how early their shift started (8am, potentially earlier - a time when I wanted to still be asleep); talking too loudly and making loud crashing noises (presumably most of this was doors slamming shut). However, I must say that aside from this I found the cleaning staff to be great - both very friendly and also doing a great job of quickly and effectively cleaning the room.
Finally, the sound proofing of the room just didn't seem to be that good. In addition to the above noises I regularly heard a very irritating noise (I think from the room above) which I couldn't fully figure out but it sounded like a weird scratching motion.
In the end, I left the hotel feeling particularly tired, which is a shame considering my otherwise very positive experience.
Maybe I had a particularly bad room regarding noise - it's hard to tell. My main advice to the hotel is to investigate the noises in the corridor issue, as noise disturbance is mentioned in some other reviews as well. I think there needs to be an emphasis of being quiet when you enter the accommodation area of the hotel, and signs at the entrances to the corridors telling people to be quiet would make a big difference.
Advice to travellers - bring earplugs! Still, hopefully you won't have to if the hotel can address this noise disturbance issue.
Would I come back to this hotel again? Maybe - it does a lot of things very well; I just hope the above issue is addressed.

For the first time in my travels, I encountered the incomprehensible practice of not even providing water with a prepaid dinner. All beverages were served for a fee. A bit weak.
One point minus - Very nasty coffee served in thermoses for breakfast. I'm not a gourmet, but it was undrinkable.
