The property is spacious, clean, comfortable, and has an amazing view. Four bed rooms all with ensuites. Large kitchen. Pool area. And great veranda, as well. Walkable to anything in town. It’s really an amazing place to stay.

The only downside was WiFi isn’t really usable in the bedrooms, but that was minor.

Everything about this property is superb. The location within the castle walls is fantastic for a family or group who likes to explore places on foot. In addition, the house itself is tastefully decorated, carefully maintained and well-equipped. The garden and swimming pool are fantastic for a large family. Last but not least, the host answered all our questions and provided prompt suggestions whenever we asked them throughout our stay.

Lamego was perfect for our family reunion/vacation. The staff were accommodating & returning daily to a comfortable house & beautiful pool was a treat. Every day was filled with good hiking, shopping, river cruises, lovely town center and of course, a family friendly vineyard for a port tasting!

The showers were small for our taste but we got over it!
