About this house rental
Nestled in Bald Head Island, this attractive house for $650 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. Welcome to our family's home away from home: "Lighthouse Point." We lived in Lighthouse Point, Florida, when we were first married and loved our beach time there. Fifteen years, three kids, and one move to North Carolina later... we discovered Bald Head Island. We fell in love with it on our first ferry ride, as we left all stress and worry behind to enjoy island life with our three children each summer. We are so happy to be making memories now in our dream vacation home and can't wait to share our little piece of heaven with your family! The beach access is just steps from the home, which means it's easy to traverse with your kids and beach gear in tow. We're adjacent to the Bald Head Island Club so you have an easy walk or a one-minute golf cart ride to enjoy all the amenities there, which include multiple pools with splash pads and slides, a playground, golf, tennis, fitness facility, croquet, casual dining poolside at Horizons and fine dining inside the club. Our home is also just minutes to the Maritime Market, Shoals Club, as well as all of the fun activities on the island. "Lighthouse Point BHI" is 2500 sq. ft. with over 800 sq. ft. of covered porches so you can take advantage of the spectacular ocean views and breathtaking sunsets. There is covered parking under the home for the two golf carts (one 4-passenger and one 6-passenger included with the rental) as well as an outdoor shower to clean off after a day at the beach. The first floor features 4 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, a laundry area, and a kid's lounge with a 65" SmartTV and comfy couch (allowing the adults quiet time upstairs!). Our home sleeps 11, but we have a house rule of a max of 6 adults. The kids' lounge has a large bay window and access to the porch. There are built-ins full of toys and games for all ages. The first master has a king-size bed and ocean views. You can access the covered porch from the master and relax in the rocking chairs while listening to the waves! The luxurious attached bath has a large double vanity with quartz countertops and an oversized tiled shower. The second master also has a king bed and attached bath with quartz vanity and tiled shower. Both masters also include 55" SmartTVs. The third bedroom has a queen bed and shares a bath with the bunk room. The bunk room has one twin-over-twin and one twin-over-full bunk bed (sleeps 4-5 kiddos). The second floor is a completely open concept that flows onto a large covered porch with breathtaking ocean views. This is the perfect place for enjoying relaxing dinners! The kitchen includes custom cabinets, stainless steel appliances, a large center island, granite countertops, a farmhouse sink, wine fridge, and walk-in pantry. The dining area has a large table with seating for 8 in addition to seating for 4 at the island. There is a cozy sitting room -- perfect for reading a book or watching the sunsets. The family room has a large sectional, a wall of custom built-ins, and a 65" SmarTV. All rentals include access to guest memberships at Shoals Club and BHI Club (summer guest memberships are limited at both clubs, so sign up quickly!). Also included are bed linens, bath towels, beach towels, basic toiletries, beach chairs, beach toys, bikes, baby gear (2 pack-n-plays, changing pad, bouncy seat, high chairs). Our house is very kid-friendly for sure! We personally manage the rentals for our home and enjoy developing a relationship with each renter. We are always available by text, phone, or email and have on-island support staff to handle any issues that may arise during your stay. We are confident that you will be pleased with our home -- from the location to the layout and ocean views.. And we're sure you will fall in love with Bald Head Island just as our family has! We had a wonderful stay and have nothing negative to say.
Two comments, the freezer was producing frost and not efficiently producing ice, an ice machine would be a nice addition for the well planned kitchen. The Keurig was a little messy to use, descaling would remedy that. Thanks for sharing your home on a American Treasure Bald Head Island.

My family had a wonderful week-long vacation at Bald Head Island and a primary reason was our awesome rental! The house was a vibrant, comfortable, and well-stocked home base for all of our beach activities, and the view from the decks are tremendous. Included little details like provided beach towels, starter washer/dishwasher pods, tons of baby/toddler equipment, etc. just add to the ease of planning a week at the beach. And they had it all here. In addition to the five-star physical characteristics, I cannot say enough about how responsive the owners were during our stay. We had a minor issue with the fridge when we arrived and it was fixed in no time and on a Sunday to boot. Basically this was the complete package for a no-stress, awesome beach vacation.

When I go on a family vacation, I want everything to go smoothly without any problems. Everything was perfect with renting Light House Point on Bald Head Island. Owner communication was tremendous. We cheated a bit and took a private boat/taxi to (and from) the island with BHI Delivery (which I highly recommend). The house was great and well equipped and comfortable. Easy (and short) walk to the beach. It was a great family vacation -- kids enjoyed it, and mom and dad were able to relax. Highly Recommend. Thank you.

Everything about the property was as advertised. Ideal for young families with bunk beds, two primary bedrooms, two golf carts, two highchairs and two pack n plays. Kristin was incredibly responsive, helpful and flexible!

A group of 6 adults and 2 children stayed for a long weekend. The house was equipped with everything needed for the kids (as the listing showed) making traveling to the island easy. Owners were extremely helpful while planning the trip with our 2 children. They sent over a packet full of information about the house and island beforehand and answere all of our questions in a timely manner.
The house was fantastic! The living space was a great size for our group and the kitchen was large enough to cook meals. The bunk bed room was far enough away from the other rooms and upstairs; so nap time and bed time worked perfectly - even while the adults stayed up and hung out!
In addition, the location was amazing. A short walk to one of beach access points and a short drive to the BHI club.
Overall, we would stay here again!

Our New Favorite Bald Head Island House
Our family spent two full weeks at Lighthouse Point in the summer of 2022 and we absolutely love everything about it. The house is very clean and in excellent repair. More importantly, it was stocked with everything we needed, especially in terms of kitchen supplies, beach towels and equipment, and children's toys). We have been visiting Bald Head since the early 1980s and has rented a different house along South Bald Head Wynd every summer since 2011. Lighthouse Point is our new favorite rental property and we hope to return next year. Our favorite features definitely included:
- the ocean view from both decks,
- two (actual) master suites with private baths and king beds,
- being very close to the Bald Head Island Club but not next to its beach access (which gets busy),
- three streaming-enabled big screen televisions, and
- a smaller downstairs living room for children to play in.
We have no reservations recommending Lighthouse Point to anyone. The house is wonderful, the owners were extremely kind and helpful before and during our stay, and the location might as well be oceanfront.

The location is perfect being across the street from the beach and halfway in between the harbor and the market. The views are stunning and everything was comfortable - the beds, couches, etc. Very clean and well built home with lots of upgrades. 10 out of 10. Highly recommend.

This house is excellent for families with children of all ages. It is well equipped with anything you could need. We did have the grandparents stay with us for a few days . Ages 72-75 and I think the stairs were a bit challenging for them especially with luggage. The house was in order and very clean. We do have a child with moderate to severe asthma who had some issues secondary to dust . However, I think most rentals have a certain amount of dust. This place is wonderful. I highly recommend staying here. We would stay here again!

Kristin was VERY responsive and answered all our questions promptly. While not front row on the beach, the architect has done a masterful job with window placement that makes you feel that you are front row as the unobstructed views from much of the home are stunning . We could not have been happier with the house, it was perfect!

This house is perfect for one or two families. There are two master bedrooms which is a huge bonus. The house is new and decorated amazingly. The owners were more than accommodating for anything we needed and very responsive. The views are breathtaking and the golf carts are in great condition. We will definitely be staying here again.

The location is EXCELLENT and centrally located- very close to the beach & a very easy walk; very close to BHI Club; and a short-cart ride to the market. The house was very clean, the kitchen was nicely equipped and we truly had everything we needed for our trip. Also- the house has been recently renovated and it is fresh & modern, the decor is tasteful and gives off the perfect coastal vibe (without being tacky!!). The golf carts were in good working order, there were plenty of chairs, beach towels, etc. We were very happy staying here and would definitely return again.

Terrific view, tastefully appointed, this house has all the best parts of the BHI experience: access to the BHI club, beach access across the street, short golf cart ride to the market & restaurants. While you're there recommend climbing to the top of the light house, going for a cruise down to Mike's Bites or the Conservancy. Learning point on the BHI membership: Kristin provides your names to the BHI guest membership team - don't fill out the paperwork online. Recommend booking tee times at least a week in advance, along with any restaurant recommendations, and 48 hours in advance for the pool/water slide. Note that guest members can only take golf tee times after 12pm. Highly recommend the Palms restaurant - delicious and great service. Also great is Delphina - you can order take out online, which is great but do it before 5pm for full access to the menu (lesson learned). Maritime Market has wood fired oven pizza made to order in about 8 minutes! Amazing for the kids. Also, check out the BHI facebook page - we were able to find a babysitter for a few nights so the adults could eat out. All in all really perfect family vacation. Highly recommend!

We loved this house! Bright and airy, with amazing views of the water and such close access to the beach - our three-year old had no problem walking all the way even. It was a ell-stocked and so comfortable. Great for little ones as well. We can’t wait to come back one day!
