Terrific location, charming staff, cozy and chic!

Serenity in the Marigny was a wonderful experience from top to tail. We were pleasantly surprised to get an advance call from the property manager, who met us on the day of our arrival to ensure we could easily get into the building. She provided us with a tour of the property and asked us if we would like breakfast the next day. We had a lovely breakfast both days -- one morning was an excellent king cake, the next was a chef-prepared spread of pancakes, croissant, fruit, juice, yogurt and coffee (and a lovely conversation to boot!). We were the only guests that weekend and had the place to ourselves, which made the hot tub and public living room space all the more luxurious. The room was well outfitted. The bed was very comfortable, with a pillow top, fluffy comforter, and extra pillows. The room included a luggage rack, iron/ironing board, and TV with streaming media. The bathroom had tons of towels and extra toilet paper as well as shampoo, soap and lotions. In addition, the entire place was cozy while outfitted in a stylish and chic way . It was extremely convenient to be within walking distance of the French Quarter, Marigny and Bywater. We also could easily walk to restaurants, shops and even a nearby Walgreen's for some essentials. Definitely a hidden gem!

Wish we could have stayed for longer. Wish we could have relied on public transit more while in the area.

Schöner Aufenthalt in einem kleinen B & B.

Die Lage war gut, die Zimmer sind nett eingerichtet und der Whirlpool auf dem Dach war das i-Tüpfelchen. Das Frühstück hat geschmeckt.Es ist ein kleines Haus mit wenigen Zimmern, persönlich Betreuung. Parken auf der Straße vor dem Haus war kostenlos und problemlos möglich.

Die Zimmer sind etwas klein und es ist wenig Platz für Koffer und Kleidung. Das Frühstück ist nur von 9:30 - 10:30 Uhr und von der Menge her gerade noch so ausreichend.

Comfortable quarters, great value!

Loved the friendly staff. The suite upstairs is so comfortable. The bathroom is awesome!

Convenient location, but food quality and services much below advertised descriptions and pictures.

Location convenient. Staff pleasant and offered suggestions for local highlights. Nearby neighborhood restaurants and entertainment very enjoyable. Quite safe and quite area.

Staff only available about 2 hours each morning after which we had to take care of ourselves for linen and search for hot and cold beverages that were generally not available. Breakfasts very inconsistent and reduced in quality and quantify during the 4 day stay.

cozy place run by lovely ladies in a wonderful part of the city

Breakfast was quite nice. We were specially happy to be able to try local sweets for the mardi gras and fresh fruit. We loved the jacuzzi on the rooftop!

We were somewhat disappointed by the plastic plates, cups and cutlery for breakfast. In our world, vis-a-vis the climate crisis ahead we should make all efforts to discourage the use of disposable plates, forks, etc.

Daphne and Tamika were excellent hosts and made our stay incredible. Amazing place, great location, highly recommended and would stay again. I asked for a surprise birthday setting and they were so accommodating and was so beautiful!

Comfy bed a few blocks from Frenchman street

The women running this property are really nice and personable. Lovely rooftop and upstairs chill out lounge, I spent a rainy morning reading a book up there and it was great to have that space. The breakfast was delicious, although I wish the coffee was stronger ! It’s just a few blocks to Frenchman street and the great live music there. It’s a cute area to walk around and see the small colorful railroad style houses.

It was cold the first night, make sure the heat is on or you have an extra blanket. I would have loved to been able to stay longer - I know NoLa is expensive, but it’s a pricey stay for this school teacher.

overall the staff was extremely sweet and accommodating. I would consider staying again.

very clean and decorated very nicely. they had nice amenities like a sauna and hot tub.

walls were paper thin and could people walking and talking outside and hear people in other rooms moving around and coughing.

Exceptional

Beautiful bed and breakfast! Very comfortable room, quiet, clean comfortable bed. The place had a lovely space to hang out and a comfortable breakfast area. The area around the place was space was fantastic, so cute, so walkable. I cannot wait to return and stay here again.

Wish there was more food at breakfast. I was able to eat and feel full, but there could be more options. Otherwise it was amazing! I felt very comfortable.

My partner and I will definitely be back next year, and this is the only place we will stay.

it was very easy to locate, and we were able to park on the street right in front of the building for free. The entire staff was SUPER FRIENDLY! The room was clean, quiet during the night, and the bathroom was absolutely beautiful!

A luxurious and beautifully decorated BnB in the heart of the Marigny

Our stay here was wonderful. The entire place is amazingly decorated and very comfortable. And having access to the hot tub and sauna was a wonderful perk. The bed was very comfortable and the rain-style head on the shower was a nice surprise. A nice continental breakfast was available each morning and Keurig coffee was available throughout the day. The location is just a few blocks from the French Quarter but far enough to be away from the crowds. There are also many great restaurants and bars within easy walking distance.

There wasn't much we didn't like about our stay. The only thing I'll mention was some street noise coming through the window during the night. Being a ground floor room in a city, you expect some noise but there was yelling just outside the window on and off until around midnight on two nights. They provide earplugs which helped but a noisemaker wouldn't be a bad idea.

It might be nice for a couple, traveling for fun in Nola, not for people who need things done asap.

The property is nice, has character and is very clean. The lady that checked me in was very friendly and tried her best to help me.

Unfortunately, it is not the right fit for people who travel for work. Breakfast did not start until 9.30! The lady who checked me in tried to accommodate my needs, she left me something on the table for breakfast and I appreciated it. But it is definitely not what I expect when i read "breakfast included".. Plus, I was alone at the property, so if I needed anything I just had to figure out how to find what I needed.

squeaky doors! Not quite enough obvious detail/instruction on using facilities, ie. sauna and jacuzzi.

Highly Recommended Place to stay!

The location was fantastic, really close to the french quarter but still in a residential quiet neighborhood, everything is walking distance. The hotel itself is really new, well maintained. At the time of our stay we were the only guests and we could use the common areas as well, like the beautiful kitchen. It was amazing. The hospitality of our host Daphne was out of the charts, she gave us tips, asked us about what type of breakfast we'd like, and let her baker friend bake us the famous Mardy Gras kincake in September, so totally out of season. After just the first few hours she already felt like an old friend to us. Thank you for everything!

The hotel rooms are very small, there is no way to do anything else, but to sleep in the room, it is basically a nice comfortable bed and a beautiful bathroom.

We travel a lot and the staff including the spa personnel were probably the best we have experienced

Breakfast was good. It was a great kitchen to sit and chat with the other guests. It was big and inviting.

The breakfast was a little late for our liking didn't serve breakfast until 9:30 to 10:30 AM on vacation we like to be out doing things by then .

This is a hidden gem....

This place is beautiful. The location is perfect for if you like to close to everything (esp. Frenchman St)but far enough from the craziness of the Quarter. The A/C worked great. The breakfast was tasty also. Everything was clean and modern. (The decor is the same style as my living room at home.)

The bed didn't have enough support, the mattress was too soft and didn't support our backs.

Daphne is a wonderful host who greeted us at the door to make sure the electronic lock worked, gave us a quick tour to show us where eveything is in the place, and gave recommendations on sites and food. She geniunely took the time to get to know us. Location within easy walking distance of Bourbon Street/French Quarter and even closer to Frenchman Street. To a first time out of towner the neighborhood seems a little dicey, but there were no issues and we were safe the whole trip.

For those who are not out until all hours of the night and want to take advantage of the whole day, the breakfast starts too late at 9:30. Suggest to have some simple grab and go food/coffee for those who venture out between 7:00 and 9:30 AM.

The breakfast was different every day and always fantastic! We greatly enjoyed our time at Serenity in the Marigny. The beds were extremely comfortable and it was really nice getting to know the owner. We will certainly be back when we can.

this b&b was the icing on the cake for our stay!

secure. loved the furnishings and decorations. bed was so comfortable. close to most of the sites we wanted to see. breakfast looked like something out of a magazine and was delicious. the owner/hostess was very friendly. the spa was great too!
