I rented this cabin as a get away for my partners birthday. It was exactly as the add described and the absolute perfect place. The view of the water was beautiful and the fire a cozy touch. I would absolutely rent this location again.

This was our second stay at this property. Everything was perfect. Well equiped and comfortable beds.
We loved the view of the sea from the house, and the easy access to the beach.
It is listed as a cottage for 6 people but with seating for only 4 people at the dining table this would prove rather difficult but was not a problem for us.
We would have no problem staying there again and found Cathy a perfect host.

Great view but access to beach was not very clear, homeowners could clear the prickly berry bushes a bit more, no air conditioning but it was not needed due to ocean breeze, it was in great location to go get things and access anything from town! It was a lovely time all around

We booked this cottage at last minute, thinking we can’t be picky as long as there’s 2 bedrooms and accepts dogs, one being 100 lbs. when we arrived, we were very pleased to see how nice the cottage is in person! The photos only resemble the cottage, and does not do justice! It is VERY clean, spacious bedrooms, one which opens up to the balcony and has a view. All amenities are well thought out, and there is no need to pack extra towels or blankets. Our highlight was definitely the wonderful balcony/patio. The view is just stunning. You have to use the hot tub, as you will have a very different perspective of the ocean from there, and ofc, the added pampering. They even provided a board to place at the stairs to enclose our dogs on the patio. That was very much appreciated. Karen was absolutely a gem, and went out of her way to make our trip memorable! The only reason why I gave a 4 for location is because the cottage is right next to a scenic view point, and you can hear the visitors. Otherwise, it is very convenient and close to everything. I highly recommend the seaside cottage ❤️

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the cottage in Campbell River, and can't wait to go back. We also love that it is pet friendly :) Cathy is a fantastic host, and communication was great with her. The cottage was clean and completely stocked with everything we needed for our stay (towels, bedding, kitchen supplies, etc.) The bed was comfortable, but the couch needs to be replaced. The deck and hot tub with the amazing ocean and mountain view was where we spent most of our time. Our dog also loved it there and Cathy made it so that we could secure her on the deck and she could be outside with us. That was much appreciated :) The property is located very close to grocery, liquor, and souvenir shops, all within short walking distance. That being said, it is just off of a major road and we found the traffic noise to be a bit loud at times. If you want to use the hot tub on the first night of your stay, make sure you go and turn the temperature up all the way when you arrive (you can turn it back down later), make sure the "heat" light is on, and that the lid is kept closed. It took a few hours for it to be hot enough to use. There are two cottages on the property and they share a yard, they were a little closer to each other than I had thought, but still private. Not deal breakers for us at all, but I thought I'd include that in the review, just so there's no surprise. We highly recommend staying here and are looking forward to next time!

Seaside Cottage is a wonderful place to stay. It is right on the water, which is beautiful with snow covered mountains on the horizon. The cottage is very well appointed and comfortable. We certainly hope to come back one day. We hiked to Elk Falls and through an old growth forest, visited the Maritime Center and Campbell River Museum and followed the Trail of Totems to see beautifully carved totems along the journey north from Vancouver.

We really enjoyed our stay at Cathy’s Seaside retreat. The hot tub was the big hit for us, located on a beautiful sun deck that overlooks Denman Island & Georgia Strait. Was great to soak in the tub while storm watching! Great kitchen and living area inside appointed with all the tools you will need to get comfortable and enjoy a relaxing seaside meal. I was also very pleased to have a bbq on the deck! Thanks for looking after us so well, Cathy! Aloha!

Great little cottage on the beach
This was our third time visiting these cottages and we really enjoyed our stay as always. The view is beautiful and there’s nothing better then soaking in the hot tub looking out at the ocean.

Very happy and will look to stay here again. We paddleboarded and fished from the beach, close to a local shop and restaurant, peaceful and quiet on the deck in the mornings and evenings.

Absolutely loved the cottage, exactly as described in the listing. Morning coffee on the deck or in the hot tub was the highlight of our stay; we LOVED the location and the ability to walk just out the driveway to the market or grocery store, and grab coffee. We will be booking the cottage again!
