Friendly staff, good restaurant with fair prices. Good view from the upper floors.
Quite a long wait when the restaurant was busy. 30 min walk to the harbour.

The views were incredible
Had no idea there were no elevators to the top floors. My husband just had back surgery and it made it difficult to bring bags up and down.

The hotel has been nicely renovated with tasteful decor, comfy beds, and a decent included breakfast or coupon towards breakfast menu items. Everything was clean, and it was great to be able to use the guest washer ($4/load) and dryer (free, but very slow drying). Staff were friendly. Restaurant has an amazing view and we enjoyed watching herons, seabirds, and a river otter along the shore.
Looking out from floor 4 you see a lot of roof area and there are noisy roof vents going 24/7. I was disappointed that there was no longer a hot tub, but the pool was clean and quite warm, and shallow enough for my child to touch everywhere (1.2 m). Basic rooms are quite small for a family, but luckily we were able to upgrade to the family suite.
