Rooms not very big nor sound proof. But it is over 100 years old, so to be expected.

Funky and quirky because it’s an old building and an historic property. Resident friendly cat. Great band in the pub.
Minimum amenities in the room— coffee and tea station in the hall, no fridge, but ice available. Overpowering air freshener in my room.

Decent place if you are passing through. Other reviews regarding shabbiness and noise are accurate. We still enjoyed our visit as we knew to expect these things. Noise was only late 1 night when there was live music at the pub, otherwise we slept fine! Bed was comfortable, room was small but this didn't bother us.
Main drawback is the noise - you can hear EVERYTHING from rooms next to yours. We still slept fine but it does make to feel less comfortable.
I wouldn't return to this inn - the island better enjoyed by either camping or a cabin in my opinion (zero were available for us which is why we ended up here) The pub was great for dinner anyways.
