You need to know there are 56 steps to the front door. This unit has not be updated and is poorly maintained. Fireplace/stove, cooktops were broke in this cold drafty unit with many things (>20) broken or worn beyond useful life. Dirty fan vents, old worn carpet, drawers & doors off hinges, burns and cuts on counters, 2003 noisy low wattage microwave, lamps falling apart, outlets not working. Altoghter, this is the worst resort unit that I have stayed in this price range.
Vacasa was responsive and friendly as well as staff but I ding them on Quality Control....

Worked well for a place to lay our heads, shower and eat. Otherwise, the place was old and run down. Couldn't get the front tv working, until we happened upon the remote inside the couch....at which time, lots of old food also fell out of it. Tried to blend up some salsa, but the base of the blender head is cracked in half and leaked all over. The electric coils on the range top were covered in oil, smoking us out...at least the smoke alarm did work. Volume on the upstairs tv can on be controlled by the TV itself...old school....and much more...but 2 stars is the best I can give this unit.

Due to fires in Tahoe, had to leave campsite and try and find a spot to stay or else go home.
Didn’t want to go home so we came across this quaint little spot.
Perfect for 2-4 people,
Lots of stairs (on the top floor) so after hiking 14 miles it was a struggle.
Fairly old in technology, furniture and cookware. But we mostly just needed a place to sleep so it did the job for the price we spent.
Thank you to our host for allowing us to stay. We had a great time visiting our favorite places: Mammoth, June Lake and Yosemite:)

Campsite closures forced us here and we are thankful!

Death trap. It violates Fire and Building Code. Front door was completely unlocked but stuck in frame. The first morning we were trapped inside. Two adults pulling together for over 5 minutes could not get door to open. Was on the verge of calling the Fire Marshall, but did not want our accommodation Red Tagged at the start of vacation. We slept with the door left open. Smoke detectors improperly installed. Violates "Truth in Advertising." Parking was not located in front of unit. Images and room descriptions are misleading. There are NO bedrooms. Two Single beds are in the living room and 1 Queen (not King) bed is in the loft. Did not disclose a steep 4-story stair climb to unit entrance. Most everything is original from 1973. Needs interior paint.

Good location and nice trees all around but the place is designed for people under 5 feet tall (super low sinks and toilets) and is in desperate need of a remodel—carpets are stained and smell like sweat and beer and cigarettes, counters are so sticky you have to wash your hands after you touch them, and overall the vibe is a bit dark and creepy. If you just want to crash and not cook or if you want a bachelor pad kind of thing and you’re not tall, possibly it’s competitive price wise. We enjoyed the 4 flights of stairs workout to the “second floor” LOL!

We booked many vacation homes in the past and never encountered as bad of an experience. The property I booked was NOT the one we were given access to and felt like we were frauded. The property I booked and all the photos were of another unit rather than this one. This unit also did not warm property and was never able to get warmer than 60 degrees on the first floor.
