Had an Onsen, it was large and the vibes have been perfected. Room was spacious and bathroom was very big by Japanese standards.
The location was a bit out of the way and we did have to do quite a bit of walking to get to the sites.

I really enjoyed my stay. The hotel was clean, quiet, and had a beautiful traditional Japanese atmosphere. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the room was comfortable and well maintained. The location was also convenient for exploring Kyoto while still being peaceful.
Nothing major. Everything met my expectations, and I had a pleasant stay.

Location was an acceptable halfway point between station and the rest of Kyoto. It was clean and well appointed.
So dark. Honestly; turn the lights on.
Bed - hard as a rock.
Pillows - also hard as rocks.
Room - had plenty of space if you took out the elevated tatami mat taking up the only available floor space, making it really difficult to move around the room. It just doesn’t have to be that big.
