Very disappointed with our stay. Won't go back.

What I liked about the property was the creek outside my room. That was very nice. We had a shared balcony with the room next door.

What I didn't like was the fact I spent days searching for the perfect room for my anniversary. I wanted a room with a fireplace and had other hotels to choose from with fireplaces. This property fit my wish list of what I wanted in a room. I chose the room with a fireplace and creek view. Then we check in and they switch our room and give us a cheap fake fire electric heater. Very disappointed! Bait and switch. They said since it was booked through a third party that it wasn't a guarantee. Well then don't advertise it on a third-party site. Also, every time we tried to take a shower brown water came out of the faucet. Had to let the water run for a long time for it to run clear. The beds are very hard and squeaky as well.

Wir hatten einen Balkon und konnten direkt auf ein kleines Flüsschen schauen. Das war schon schön. Und auch das Zimmer war komfortabel. Es gab auch eine Kaffeemaschine auf dem Zimmer. Kommen gern wieder.

Lynette's birthday celebration.

Larry, Jerry, C.J. and Aaron are fantastic people. Customer service from these gentlemen was above and beyond. The location is convenient to downtown Gatlinburg and Pigeon forge. Food establishments were close and delicious. Even the coffee at the cottage was great and I don't drink alot of coffee. The grounds are very clean. Rooms are clean with plenty of towels and washcloths. The fireplace was an unexpected amenity. They have wood to purchase as well. Just a great place.

We enjoyed everything.

Worse room I’ve ever stayed in

Our room was terrible. If you stay on the bottom it’s so outdated and there’s chickens in the yard where you park. No chance of a bear sighting only the neighbors garbage. The blinds were broke, the beds uncomfortable, and the room just felt dirty. We did not stay the night, we basically paid to check in and leave. I have never dealt with such rude staff. We were basically told that we where stuck with the room we had even after we asked to be moved up the hill and offered to pay whatever the cost for another room.

Would be great if the staff set off a bell or alarm if the see or know a bear is on the property. Or even set something off at the usual bear sighting times. We were completely caught off guard, very close to bears, more than once. As cool as it is, it’s scary.

I probably would not have chosen this property had I known before what it was truly like.

Small room, outdated, but clean. Bed was comfortable. It was located on a river, so it was very peaceful and quiet. It was a few minutes from the fray of downtown Gatlinburg which was nice.

Bed was comfortable, but set on a tin frame, so any time you moved, it sounded like echo in a tin can - very strange. Bathroom had no towel bar and a pedestal sink, so no counter space for toiletries. There was a 4"shelf, on which you could place a hand towel and not much else.

Not what I expected from Booking.com

The location is very nice

I had a disappointing experience at this property. While Booking.com referred to it as a hotel, it's more like a motel. The place is extremely outdated, resembling a one-star motel with broken shades and stained chairs. Not what I expected at all.

It was good for the money.

Creek - balcony - location - price

They offer nothing extra - no breakfast of any kind - muffins would be nice. No maid service. Cheap bed - mattress is just laying on a metal base.

Overall great experience!

The people at the front desk are super polite and helpful. We really loved our stay at the hotel. I will be telling my friends about this hotel. It was that nice staying here. You could walk down the river. Have a barbecue or warm up at the fire pit. They also have a pavilion for use for large gatherings. They even have heaters in the bathroom room !

Very disappointed!

Shower head didn’t work properly, so we weren’t able to shower very well. Room was very musty smelling and did not have any lamps. Parking was difficult if you didn’t return early enough in the evening.

Had a great time

Next to the water and fire pit was awesome. Had to fight thur vegetation to get to the room. Need some landscaping done. Noise level was up at night until about 1am. Cigarette butts all over the ground. We don’t smoke found it disgusting

Landscaping. Really dark at night no foot lights. Bed not comfortable. Metal frame was nosiest. No breakfast on site.

היחידה ישנה וקצת מוזנחת, ברז במקלחת לא איפשר לקבוע מים פושרים, הם היו חמים או קרים. תריסי רפרפת שבורים ולא ניתן לסגור אותם לשמירת פרטיות. תאורה ביחידה עם נורה אחת., רהוט ישן , ריח לא טוב בחדר. חנייה לא נוחה. מזרונים ממש לא נוחים. בקיצור... מאוד ירוד.

Relax in Nature

I have been staying at Carrs for 20 years.. My room was perfect, clean, comfortable, and a great value. I love being by the stream. I always enjoy the pool area. I'm looking forward to going back in October.

Nah an Downtown Gatlinburg, aber in ruhiger Lage

Also ich muss sagen, dass dies unsere beste Unterkunft war während unserem gesamten Urlaub. Wenn es noch eine Gemeinschaftsküche gegeben hätte, wie es eigentlich in Booking.com steht, wäre es perfekt gewesen. Das Zimmer war echt groß und hatte neben den 2 Doppelbetten noch ein Tisch mit 2 Stühlen und einen sehr großen TV. Es gab einen Vorraum, in dem der Kühlschrank stand, die Mikrowelle und ein extra Waschbecken. Im Bad gab es noch ein zweites Waschbecken. Das beste an dem Zimmer war aber der Balkon, von dem man auf einen Bach blickt. Dort haben wir immer gegessen. Housekeeping gab es nur auf Wunsch. Das fand ich eigentlich recht gut. So konnte man seine Sache im Zimmer liegen lassen und musste nicht immer alles wegräumen. :-) Das Motel war etwa 10 Minuten zu Fuß von Downtown Gatlinburg entfernt. Das war echt super. Man hatte seine Ruhe von dem Trubel und konnte trotzdem ohne Probleme hinlaufen. Parken ist in Gatlinburg sehr teuer. Der Eingang zum Great-Smoky-Nationalpark ist mit dem Auto ca. 15 Minuten entfernt. Wir haben ca. 94 USD pro Nacht bezahlt, was ich ein sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis finde. Für jeden, der nicht die Menschenmassen von Gatlinburg braucht, aber abends trotzdem ein bisschen was erleben will, ist das genau das richtige.

Kühlschrank ging nicht richtig. Haben wir aber erst am 3. Tag gemerkt, als unsere Milch sauer wurde. Da hatten wir dann aber keine Lust, das wegen einem weiteren Tag zu reklamieren. Warmes Wasser in den Waschbecken ging nicht richtig. In der Dusche kam aber heißes Wasser. Parkplätze könnten mehr da sein. Ich denke, in der Hochsaison wird es schwierig.

AWESOME!!!

The location was awesome. There was a small stream, sitting area, and fire pit right off of the patio outside of our room. The facility supplied the wood for the fire pit.

There wasn't one thing we disliked.
