Nestled in Avon, this charming house for $307 per night is a great choice for your next break. Hatteras-S-Cape #53-1 Our calendar is updated in real-time & our nightly rates are accurately displayed. Simply enter your desired dates and click 'Book Now!' Hatteras-S-Cape is located on a spectacular one back from the ocean lot in southern Kinnakeet Shores, close to the pedestrian beach access, and offers fantastic ocean and sound views from the two-tiered decks. The open and airy concrete carport with all-weather entry has beach toys and fishing gear, along with double showers for the saltiest beach bums. Wrap around ocean & South decks lead to the outside hot tub area. The spacious upper level has a tall open ceiling, windows galore, ceiling fans, warm wood accents, ocean views & south decks with a broad ocean view. Cooks and crew will love the well-equipped kitchen, breakfast bar, oceanside dining for 12, and an adjoining screened porch. The third-level loft has expansive views. The first level has two main suites - each with sliders to the deck, two more bedrooms, and an additional bathroom. The second level has another main bedroom with a semi-private bath. Things to Know Free WiFi Please note: Guests have access to the Club Hatteras Pool Facility. Additional details around this facility will be shared in your check-in email and during the check-in process. The club is typically open Mid-May to Mid-October, depending on the weather. You will be required to sign an additional lease agreement upon making a booking which will be sent to your email. You will not be able to check-in until we have received your signature electronically. Please contact us directly if you do not receive this agreement. This property is managed by Vacasa North Carolina LLC Parking notes: There is free parking available for 5 vehicles. Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

Our family has been vacationing in the Outer Banks since 1977, when the back streets in Nags Head were still dirt roads. We've had a wide experience of beach houses and the amenities that are provided. This house is one of the best we have enjoyed. It is beautifully laid out, with the washing machines conveniently placed at the landing, accessible from both floors. The kitchen is well stocked, not only with ample dishes and utensils, but with a thoughtful supply of simple things, like matches, lighters, scotch tape, scissors, etc. The owners even supplied a craft box in a filing box for the children and cleaning and washing supplies for the kitchen the bathrooms. The house faces the ocean, and the boardwalk is just two houses down, across the street. We rented a second home (pet friendly) for the other half of the family. It was quite adequate, but nothing like this one. The owner also called twice to see how we were doing. We'd love to re-book this house when we return.

This is a wonderful house! We’ve stayed at this property 3 times. It’s our favorite in Avon. The homeowners keep this house updated and it always feels welcoming. Great location easy access to grocery store, beach access, and great home base for exploring the islands! Will stay here again if we get the chance!

House was wonderful and clean. The beds were comfortable and everything in the house was in good condition. Extra bonus for the extensive DVD library, it was like going to a video store

Everything about this house and the owners was fantastic. The location, the amenities, the beds and finishes, the deck and furniture. We absolutely will be looking to rent this place again, if it’s available when we want it.
Unfortunately for the house and the owners, where this property falls short is with the management company, Vacasa, whose communication and customer service was pitiful.
Upon arrival, we quickly discovered the terrible cleaning that had been done. There was human hair all over the living room floor, crumbs on the countertops, some kind of red, sticky substance that had been splattered on some of the cabinets and also some kind of grime on the outside of the refrigerator.
On our first full day, the microwave blew. We immediately contacted Vacasa on their 24/7 text line and they assured they would get it taken care of. This happened the Sunday before Labor Day, so we expected we might not hear anything until Tuesday.
By midday Tuesday, we still hadn’t heard anything, so we reached out again and they said maintenance had been alerted and we’d get further instruction later. We were told to “kindly be patient.”
The owners called Tuesday to see how everything was and we explained the microwave situation. We never heard from Vacasa again on Tuesday.
By Wednesday late morning, the owners told us they’d contacted Vacasa and an appliance company. Vacasa told us they would deliver a loaner microwave that we could use on the countertop in the meantime. However, this meant having to postpone some of our plans that day until they arrived. They told me they would call when they were on their way. They showed up without giving us a warning.
Upon going to use the temporary microwave, we opened it up only to find that a plate had been left inside of it.
That drop-off was the last contact we had with Vacasa. No one ever called to check how things had been or apologize for any inconvenience — until this text message that prompted me to leave a review.
On Thursday, the owner called again to let us know a new microwave was going to be delivered on Friday from an appliance company. This put a wrench in our plans, as we had to be home in the middle of the day to let the appliance person in. Vacasa never contacted us.
While we understand Vacasa has many properties, we think all vacationers should be treated with the respect and urgency that should come with spending thousands of dollars. Your homeowners deserve better

This is everything you would hope for from a vacation house! Spacious rooms, modern home, nice kitchen, large table. It was ideal for our family vacation. The only odd part of the house is that it shakes or wobbles a bit when someone is walking across the floor. Definitely recommend!

We loved our vacation week at this house! Highly recommend! It was bright and cheery inside. It was family friendly, very clean, and there were lots of little extras. Nice Adirondack chairs, a porch swing, and a hammock swing on the decks, a huge movie collection, a large mini fridge in the kitchen, and a huge dining room table. Everything was labeled which was very helpful for finding things in the cupboards and turning lights on and off. A short walk to the beach and pool access only a short drive away. The 2 king rooms on the lower level do share an adjoining bathtub but have their own separate sink/toilet rooms and there’s another full bath with access from the hallway. The homeowners seemed very nice, as they even called to check in to see how things were. The key lock needed batteries to work, but Hatteras Realty was quick to respond and resolve the situation so we could leave the house secure.
