Nestled in Pacific Grove, this attractive house for $295 per night is a great option for your next break. Sanctuary Vacation Rentals is proud to present “Little House”! Sleeps 6 A sweet Victorian home in Pacific Grove, just steps from the beach and the Monterey Bay Recreation Trail, is the perfect place to bring your family to relax and unwind, close enough to hear the waves and hear the seagulls calling in the distance. A small lawn area wraps around the house with geraniums and Mexican sage adding colorful accents. The Little House, built in 1888, is a registered Pacific Grove Historic Home and has vintage charm inside and out while also offering modern conveniences. Pet-friendly with a fenced back yard, it’s set up to welcome every member of the family. The 3-bedroom, 2-bath home features stained glass windows and other classic Victorian details, as well as original hardwood floors and light fixtures, lovely antique furniture, historic photographs and other vintage details. Besides being just steps from the beach, the 1,400-square-foot house is also only a few minutes away from Monarch butterfly sightings in Pacific Grove, Monterey Bay Aquarium and Cannery Row. Downtown Monterey, Carmel and golfing in Pebble Beach® are a 10-minute drive away, and other attractions within a half hour’s drive are the natural wonders of Big Sur and wine tasting and dining in Carmel Valley Village. Living Space Guests enter through a gate in a white picket fence, with steps leading to the front door of the red-and-white house. A cozy living room with a bay window and comfortable sofas provides a gathering place for conversation, watching the 32-inch HDTV or reading, and the adjacent vintage dining room table seats 6 next to a marble-topped antique sideboard. Kitchen and Dining The remodeled kitchen offers a four-burner gas range, blue cabinets, vintage tile backsplash and a farmhouse apron sink, with plenty of counter space and prep area. On the other side of the kitchen is a small home office with desk and rolling chair, ideal for doing paperwork or computer work. A stacked washer and dryer is conveniently tucked into this space. A door from the office leads into the back yard, where there is a gourmet gas grill and tall vine-covered fences for privacy. Seating around a fire pit makes this a great place for afternoon barbecues or late-night stargazing. Bedrooms and Bathrooms On the lower / main level, Bedroom #1 features a California king bed and an en suite bath with a pedestal sink, hexagonal tiled floor and claw foot tub with shower. Upstairs, Bedroom #2 has a queen-size antique bed and ocean views from the windows. Bedroom #3 features two twin beds. A unique, light-filled full bath with a pedestal sink, hex tile and claw foot tub with shower is tucked under the steeply angled ceiling. Parking is available for two cars in the driveway but any additional cars must park one block away due to limited street parking in front of the house. Carpooling is recommended. Well-behaved, quiet dogs are welcome with pre-approval, an additional pet fee and a signed pet addendum. This vacation home is professionally managed by Sanctuary Vacation Rentals. We had a family gathering in Pacific Grove and stayed in the Little House. What a well kept lovely Victorian home. We were right next to the path to walk my dogs for hours. We took a surrey along the path...what a trip that was. Inside the home you will find all you need. I highly recommend staying here.

My husband and I have stayed here a couple of times with our doggie. Great location in a quiet neighborhood nice little yard for the dog, clean and comfortable. Other reviews have mentioned the shower, tub being precarious, and we agree with that. I would not recommend this house if you have any mobility issues, as it can be a danger.

Pretty much walkable to where you want to go, with the cutest little backyard area! I found myself conflicted - I wanted to explore the beauties the area has to offer, but I also just wanted to hang in out at the home. This house is filled to the brim with Victorian charm. The clawfoot bathtubs were wonderful for soaking, but be advised, showering created a slippery surface. Be cautious of that. The home was well-equipped and very comfortable. I would love to return one day, however it is pretty pricey and seems to fluctuate greatly - but is definitely a “get what you pay for” experience. If you are very tall, I would not recommend this home only because of the low ceilings located upstairs. Other than that it’s pretty near perfect!

My family of four including daughters 9 and 11 stayed here for four nights with the in-laws. Our family stayed upstairs and it was quite private from the downstairs. Everything was wonderful and the host was super responsive. My daughter spilled nail polish on a rug and shower curtain and I sent photos of the crime scene to the host and they were able to handle it and didn’t charge us which was very kind. I would stay here again.

We enjoyed a beautifully decorated historical home in the heart of Pacific Grove. We were welcomed with wine, cheese, and crackers. There is a beautiful oceanside trail just around the corner and many restaurants, shops, and an amazing aquarium are in walking distance. The kitchen is well stocked. Towels, bedding, linens were nice quality. We had difficulty with the preprogrammed A/C. Despite our efforts to keep the desired temperature at 70, it kept hopping back up to 80. The firepit and outdoor chairs were not prepped for use. We had plenty of keys and parking is easy.

Ideal location. Quiet neighborhood, lodging 3 houses away from coastline. Charming, clean and comfortable. Don’t let name “Little House” mislead you-quite spacious. Large kitchen, roomy bedrooms, dining room/living room plus bonus room with desk and laundry appliances. Yard is completely fenced and landscaping is beautifully done. Highly recommend.

A block to the ocean and perfect for two friends. One upstairs and one downstairs. It was walking distance to restaurants and the bike path. Pebble beach just a ten minute drive. We hiked everyday. There were so many amazing ocean hikes and the sea lions were birthing. 💕

Little house was such a wonderful place to stay! We loved being there. The best part was being able to walk to the ocean, restaurants, the aquarium, and even tide pools! We were always out walking thanks to the accessibility to the walk along the shoreline. Our children loved it and already want to return. The house was clean which was huge for myself...being a momma of a young ones. We also loved the vintage look of the home, it was beautiful. Thank you for a beautiful and clean house!!!!

Just a block back from the water and only a few block from downtown. The house is beautifully restored and appointed. High quality amenities. Be aware both bathrooms have claw foot tubs which were a bit difficult for some guests to get in and out of. Management company was friendly and helpful. I would take my family back in a heartbeat.

Wow! Beautiful home in just as beautiful location! The historic home is well maintained and the choices for antique interior accents is fantastic! It’s nice where they added modern touches where important like the appliances. The double deep driveway is especially nice since everything is very walkable from the house. Half a block to the ocean, less than 15 minute walk to the aquarium and Canary Row!We also loved how well stocked the house was, plenty of towels throughout, hand soaps at each sink. Body wash, shampoo, and conditioner in each shower. Dish soap and pods in the kitchen, and even laundry pods for the stack laundry in the office area. Communication was top notch, instructions clear, easy check in and check out! Would definitely stay here or anither Sanctuary Vacation Rental property again!

Our stay at Little House exceeded our very high expectations! The house was beyond well-equipped (the kitchen had arguably more amenities than our kitchen at home) and the home was extremely clean and tidy. The house itself is also gorgeous - all renovations have been period appropriate for the home and it's just stunning. Having one bed and bath downstairs, with two more bedrooms upstairs along with an additional bathroom is a great layout for many families, including ours. Also, our pups loved the fenced yard and the incredibly short (1/2 block) walk to the ocean! Our time at Little House was pretty much ideal and we will most certainly be back!

Incredibly well-furnished kitchen in a charming home! Located one block from the park and the coastal trail. Lovely and quiet location in Pacific Grove. Very comfortable for 4 adults...a little tight with 6. If you’re tall, the upstairs could be a challenge. Showers are in claw foot bathtubs which are charming but if you have mobility issues they could be a challenge to get in and out. Overall, very lovely accommodations and I would stay again in a heartbeat!

Excellent location to the MBA and Asilomar
We are frequent visitors to Pacific Grove since our kids were babies. Fast forward 16 years later and over 30+ overnight stays, PG is still one of our favorite homes away from home. We’ve stayed in many homes and this property is one of our top 5 for its cleanliness, amenities and comfort.
