Situated in Kirkwood, this lovely condo for $347 per night is a great choice for your next break. Newly Remolded Studio is located in Meadows building, very short walk to Kirkwood Village & main mountain access (Chairs 6/5/10/11/1). Private covered parking with elevator access. Only condo building with a hot tub PLUS wood fireplace, deck with mountain views, full size kitchen, high speed T1 line WIFI, high-quality king bed, couch that folds out, ski locker, waxing station & cross-country skiing trails out the door. Also a communal BBQ, open great room & coin-operated laundry facilities. The space It's one of the only units at Kirkwood to have everything. The radiant heated studio comes with a full size kitchen, wood-burning fireplace, free firewood, WIFI, high-quality King bed & couch, ski locker, hot tub, (Closed due to Covid), covered underground parking with elevator access, deck with mountain views, HBO/Netflix/Prime access and. In the unit you will find a surf inspired design with brand new amenities all around. Also included is access to a communal gas burning grill (always stocked), coin-operated laundry facilities, a large great room with two-sided fireplace, large tables and super comfy chairs to relax in...perfect for entertaining guests. The studio is about 220 yards to the Kirkwood Village and main mountain access, a short walk to the lifts and you can ski-in right to the front door of the building from chair 6 or chair 7. There are also groomed cross-country skiing trails right out the back door of the building. The free Kirkwood shuttle picks up in front of the building giving you transport to the Kirkwood General Store, Kirkwood Village and Timber Creek, the beginner learning area (chair 7 and Bunny lift). Early/Late check in/out policy: When we can accommodate, an early or late check out can be made available for a $50 fee. The reason we charge this fee is because Kirkwood has the highest utility costs in the country. Explanation of $120 cleaning fee: I had a guest complain about it so I thought I would explain the details behind the cost. I actually pay the cleaner $140 per clean because of the remote location of the unit, 45 minute drive from the nearest town, where most locals live. Due to the remote location it is hard to find reliable folks, so when you do, you pay them fair wages! So just FYI, I eat $20 each time the unit is cleaned to make sure it is done right and ready to go when guests arrive. * please note that we do not give refunds due to inclement weather or road conditions… Kirkwood is a very remote place and if you’re not prepared to travel in the snow, do not book our unit! Guest access You can access the entire building, parking area, hot tub (Closed due to Covid), stocked firewood, ski locker room, washer & dryer facilities and anywhere on the property that is a common area. Other things to note Check out is 11 a.m. prompt! Unless otherwise communicated per the early/late check in/out policy mentioned above.

There we no fans working in the room, no ironing board and we were told there was one, no replacement garbage bags to re-line cans with, and the freezer door did not close securley so the freezer iced over. Other than that it was very comfortable.

I stayed at the condo with my daughter. It was a good size for two people. The layout of the condo is very well thought out. They have done really well with a small amount of space. It is completely remodeled recently and very tastefully decorated. Kitchen is well stocked with good cooking equipment. If you are skiing, it is approximately a 5-minute walk to the Cornice chair. I had one question for the property owner and they texted me back very quickly. I will definitely return for another stay.

Due to an honest mix up, the property was not cleaned on check in. It was not possible to reach the listed host as the contact phone number in the check in instructions belonged to someone who no longer oversees this property. However, after leaving a voicemail we did get a call back from that person who helped us get in touch with the cleaner who did come the next day. Both people I spoke with were very helpful and cordial, especially since it was nearly 11PM. We had to strip and make the bed ourselves and make do with the remaining clean towel, so no relaxing shower for me that evening. After driving six hours to Kirkwood after a full work day and having to clean up after the last (disgusting) guests, we were having a very poor start to our ski vacation. We didn’t get to enjoy the fireplace or unwind that evening as we were too exhausted by then. The following day the unit was turned over and it was quite nice. It truly is a nice place to stay! Most of the poor rating I am leaving is because we were never able to get in touch with the host about the original issue, our message via VRBO went unanswered, and we didn’t get a reply or resolution for a partial refund for the trouble and poor experience. That said, the condo itself is a very good recent reno, especially when compared to the rest of the aging property. The finishings are very nice. The listing does not accurately reflect the property in the winter time as there is no view from the unit or deck with mountain views with even the moderate amount of snowfall at the time (early February, no recent storms). The garage door is broken and stuck open, so beware. If we didn’t have arrival problems we really wouldn’t have known better and this might have been a 4–5 star rating! I would still stay here again for a visit to Kirkwood with tempered expectations if I knew the property will be cleaned and managed well. The proximity to the resort is very convenient and the unit is very cute and cozy.

Very comfortable place, newly renovated as described, a nice quiet refuge after a long day skiing. Small studio but has everything we needed. Main bed is excellent, pull out couch works fine for a kid. Kitchen is well organized and equipped. Shower in bathroom has good pressure and hot water. Location is OK as Kirkwood condos go, not the closest to the lifts, but readily walkable or shuttle-able.
