Don’t expect a hotel. It is a guest house but not a hostel

No breakfast the location was central so one could expect some noise. The owners were helpful . Kitchen facilities were adequate. Air conditioning was a bonus.

Nothing negative to say. It was good value for the money. We enjoyed the guesthouse atmosphere

La struttura si trova in pieno centro, accanto alla Chiesa. Rafael è stato molto gentile. Cucina a disposizione, con frigo, caffè e the gratuiti.

L’hotel sembra abbandonato a se stesso, la reception è sempre vuota, vengono giusto per fare i check in e poi lasciano un numero di telefono in caso di bisogno. Le camere sono piccole e molto rumorose, non c’è isolamento, la notte si è molto disturbati. Il bagno minuscolo. Quando ho provato a chiudere/aprire la tenda della finestra è venuto giù tutto. I letti non hanno la testiera. Se non avete l’auto considerate che non c’è quasi nulla di raggiungibile a piedi, serve un taxi o prenotare tour con il transfer incluso. Se si è di passaggio una notte va bene, per soggiorni più lunghi non lo consiglio.

Excellent location, host and very comfortable room for a good price

Air conditioning. Very light with lots of windows. Excellent location, near restaurateurs and supermarkets. Use of kitchen with fridge and microwave. Alvin let us check in early. Well furnished. Fans included. Lots of tourist information provided. Lots of electrical sockets, including some near bed.

On very noisy road. No bedside lights - only single bright room light.

Close to bars and restaurants in La Fortuna. Felt secure too. Our room was big and had all we needed

Air conditioning didn't work and it was quite noisy during the night. Couldn't get any hot water even though we are well versed in the shower systems in Costa Rica

Friensdly staff, good location and hot showers

There is a serious noise problem in room 3 as it is adjacent to a restaurant kitchen where they play music until late at night so no sleep until then.

great location, only 6 rooms, more like a guest house with kitchen, than a hotel.

no hot water in bathroom sink. only electric hot water in shower (which worked well)

Great Value.

Off street parking, but limited spaces. small basic room, but can’t beat the price for a clean place to sleep. Soft toilet paper was a definite plus!

Could use newer pillows.

Great place for little money

Right in the center of La Fortuna. The room was clean, the shower was in a good state. There were bananas to take in the lobby, so that was nice. Beds were comfy.

The host didn't speak english very much.

The location was great. Within walking distance of many good restaurants and within 4km of a great hot springs. The bed was comfortable. The facilities clean. The staff great.

It was sparce and the batroom toilet needed attention.

Stayed here for three nights. The hotel is very clean and comfortable. Rooms were cleaned daily. Nice hot showers after a day of exploring. Good kitchen to cook (no gas but had an electric hot plate, microwave and rice cooker). Located right in the middle of town. Staff were very friendly.

Cheap and definitely no frills! Good location and host.

The location was good, the host friendly and it had a shared kitchen to use. Good Wi-Fi.

The family room we stayed in seemed unfinished and needed to be refurbished. There was a pipe in the room that water could be heard flowing down and an excessive smell of bleach. No hot water for showers it was tepid. You could clearly hear talking and noise from the neighbours. Double bed size was small.

Fine hotel but disorganised management/bookings

Amazing location

I had booked one night to stay with booking, but when I checked in I asked if it was possible to stay 2 nights instead. The man checking me in said yes there’s space and this was fine. The next day I’m doing an activity, and when I look at my phone I have lots of messages and missed calls from the hotel saying I need to have checked out at 11am as they have other guests checking in. i was totally confused as I was told it was fine to stay two nights, so I phoned them but they said my room has now been booked for 4 nights on Booking.com so I have to leave. They then packed all my stuff without my permission and told me to come collect it. I was also told there was no other room in the hotel, so I was essentially being kicked out. I understand that they made a mistake, but I was treated like it was my fault which seemed unfair. The hotel was generally fine and I guess I was unlucky, but it would have been nice if they tried to help me find a room somewhere else. Instead I had to go and stay at a hostel.

Hostel is located just next to the main square, everything is around. It's not a big place, very cosy. Guests can use a kitchen and there was free coffee, which was very nice. WiFi worked very well. Staff is friendly and helpful.

The building is old and would need some refurbishment. On our last night we saw a cockroach in a bathroom.

Exceptional

Very well located right next to the park. Safe to walk around at night. Very clean. Staff is very nice. Basic accomodation but very good value for money. There is a (basic) kitchen you can use (one electric pan and one electric pot and a kettle). We can recommend staying here.

If you live in a west-facing room, your room will be hotter than a sauna in the afternoon on a sunny day, making it impossible to move in!

Superb

We had a wonderful time here in La Fortuna. We got a lot of help with every question we had and also a lot of recommendations! the rooms itself are basic, clean and comfortable. The common kitchen and the free bananas + coffee in the morning were amazing! If we come back one day we will definitely stay here again.
