Which sleeps 6, is a rustic, timber-framed building with an attached windmill-like structure that, on its upper levels features 2 bedrooms (1 Full & a set of twins that can be joined to make a King), full bath & kitchen on the ground floor. In the adjacent barn, there’s an additional bath with claw foot tub & cozy twin sleeping loft. A new outdoor shower overlooks the beautiful landscape. The barn is sited within a gorgeous, pastoral setting on the island’s west side. It is surrounded by open meadows where horses graze, & looks out over rolling hills to the distant sea where you’ll watch the sunset each day from the barn’s fabulous open-plan living space. There’s a pretty pond across from the bottom of the drive, & miles of Greenway trails that will lead you to stunning tranquil places & rocky beaches.

Carolyn was wonderful to work with. She answered all of our questions and was a wonderful host for our time away at the Barn. The property details accurately describe that this setting is best for teens and adults to navigate due to the spiral staircases and built in wooden ladder to access the bedrooms. The main living space is filled with light with huge windows overlooking the peaceful property and two horses that come into sight as they graze through the day. We enjoyed our time here and would come back to the Barn. The walking trails nearby are beautiful. The landscaping of both the main house and the Barn did take place during our stay. Although this is required, the equipment is located under the barn in the main living space.

We were blown away by the beauty of this place and the location and we will come back every chance we can get. It is a spacious creative space that made sense to us and the owner and his dog are wonderful.

Beautiful property and stunning view. This is a quirky house in an old barn and hay tower. Idyllic setting and a huge living room in the barn. Lots of charm. Bedrooms are up narrow staircases and 1 is up ladder stairs in the old hayloft so not for over 65 or very little kids but totally charming. The place leaks in the kitchen during heavy rains but we were told those leaks will be fixed in 2023 and we had only 1 rainy day so loved it.

There could not be a more wonderful place to stay on the island than Peter Wood's barn. It's warm, cozy, magical...It's full of art and history. The kitchen has everything needed for delicious meals under the grape arbor and the interior tower rooms are relaxing with many windows for cool breezes! We could not have enjoyed a lovelier week!

Our family of 6 enjoyed our stay! The property boasted gorgeous landscaping and relaxing views. Nearby access to the Greenway Trail was an unexpected bonus. The owner, Peter, was delightful and very kind. We really enjoyed getting to know him and his dog Henry!
