When nights cool down, the in-floor radiant heated fir wood floors will be just the ticket to slip right into relaxation mode as everyone reminisces by the warmth of the gas fireplace. What's nearby: Perched in an ideal location for coastal exploration and dreamy days on the sand, you will have no trouble filling your time making new memories to last a lifetime. Cooks Beach is where you will find the soft sand and crashing waves you have been dying to get a taste of, and the best part is that it is a half-mile walk from your front door. When you want to venture out a bit further, head into Gualala and pop into a local restaurant, hike along the bluffs, or grab a few necessities from one of the grocery stores. Things to know: High-speed WiFi Full kitchen There is a "Welcome Wagon" locked to the new lamppost by the front gate. The code is provided in the check-in email. Please return and lock back up before departing. **PLEASE NOTE THE WALKWAY TO THE HOUSE IS UPHILL AND CAN BE SLIPPERY, USE CAUTION** Parking notes: There is free parking available for 3 vehicles. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The house was very welcoming. It was so quiet and peaceful, the perfect getaway for our 30th anniversary. Very comfortable and decorated very well. We loved the landscaping! Kitchen was nicely stocked w/dishes, glassware, utensils and cookware.

The house was beautiful. Just as advertised. Absolutely loved the garden that surrounds. I could sit out there all day. Nice for a quite famiky get away. Will definitely be planning another stay.

Lovely stay, very special property, BUT upper bedroom had unpleasant toxic smell of some sort, bathtub unavailable and dishwasher not working

This home blew us away!
We have rented many vacation properties over the years, but this one will always stand out for us. The location is ideal as it is close to many beautiful beaches and an easy drive to Gualala to pick up groceries or adult beverages. The outside of the property is incredibly serene, with beautiful decks, gardens, local stones, and a gorgeous view of the Pacific. A perfect place to relax with a glass of wine and enjoy the views.
The inside is very tastefully decorated, well-maintained, and abundant with useful tools needed for a comfortable stay, including quality pots, pans, and eating utensils (This is quite rare with rentals, trust me).
Needless to say, our family of four (me, my wife, 13 y/o daughter, and 7 y/o son) will be back to stay as soon as possible.

House and grounds are beautiful and in a great location. Thoughtful details throughout the house. The only disappointing thing was the communication with the owner. Owner never replied to my messages. House needed to be cleaned and there were problems with the sink.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! My daughters loved the window seats for reading and the porch was an excellent place to relax and watch the ocean. The claw foot tub was a luxury! We’d definitely stay here again!

This is a beautiful property. My only criticism is some cleaning issues in the kitchen. Someone had previously left something in the garbage area (in an enclosed little closet) that had a super bad odor. The cleaning crew did not take care of that issue. Other minor cleaning issues in the kitchen, but overall everything else was clean. The climb to the property is a challenge for us older, out of shape (lol)renters. The grounds are beautiful. The house is one of the best we’ve rented in the Sea Ranch/Gualala area. We & my parents have rented many over the last 25+ years of family gatherings. Highly recommend for comfort & price.

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home with a great view of the ocean. It seems they have put a lot of work into the walkway recently leading up to the house making it easy to get in/out. The only thing we wished were different were the beds. They were extremely soft. For people with back problems it is not ideal. But, we know a ton of people love super soft mattresses so it wouldn’t be a problem for most. We would definitely stay here again!

The beach view is very close but it is not a walkable distance to the beach, only to the view of the beach, to get to the actual beach you have to go into Gualala a few minutes away via car and park and then take the trail to the beach. Be aware everything closes 8-9pm including the grocery stores. we did not know and we made it just in time to get some provisions before closing time. The restaurants do not deliver so you must either eat there or do takeout. We liked the hosts binder with suggestions of places and restaurants. We did have a small cleaning issue, which Vacasa promptly responded to.

As there is only a claw foot tub in upstairs bedroom en- suite, both parties on this trip had to share the lower level shower which was not a perfect situation as lovely as the walk in shower is. The home is obviously loved by the owners who have a great tastes. If you want to watch tv, it is not located in the best place, but we never watched it as the view was great. The walkway to the house is very bumpy and a bit of a slope.

This house was a perfect getaway to recharge our family's batteries. Fast wireless internet (2 kids doing Zoom school classes was no problem) and the views of the ocean from the deck and master bedroom are amazing. Only a 10 minute walk to Cook's Beach. The neighborhood is very dark and quiet so the stargazing at night was really something special.
