This updated flat is just a splash away from Lover’s Point Beach and the Coastal Recreational Trail. Part of a multi-unit Victorian, the “A” unit is completely private. Enter the ocean view living room through a glass-enclosed, vine-covered porch and relax on the leather sofa in front of a huge flat screen TV. There’s a dining table for two and a compact kitchen with a four burner gas range, refrigerator, microwave, and a stainless steel topped island (no dishwasher). The bedroom has a platform bed and a second TV, and the spacious bath has a tub/shower. There’s a shared, credit card-operated washer/dryer in the garage. Street parking only. Nice place. great location, easy parking. quiet at night. spacious. plenty of clean linens. they almost nailed it! almost... although not fancy decor it had everything we were looking for... except one important item... and the only reason I rated three stars rather than 5. The bed was way too firm for our liking, and they layered on a couple cheap mattress covers which offered little to no benefit. seems like a terrible idea to put an ultra firm mattress, which is only suitable for a small percentage of the population in a VRBO. We didn't sleep well and I was not a happy camper about the bed.

First the good: Perfect location (close to Lovers Point and Lighthouse street), clean unit, mattress comfortable, sheets and towels good, lots of hot water and quick response to requests for additional items (i.e. towels, measuring cup, etc.). Could use help: walls need fresh paint, screens on windows, add dishwasher, hook on bathroom door, shelf and grab rails in shower, full length mirror, proper night stands, replace flimsy dresser, remove owner stuff from closets, replace TV with smaller size commensurate with small living room, provide dedicated parking space, provide instructions for finding and using laundry, wall clock in kitchen.

This is a beautiful location. The property itself is very sterile. For the cost of this rental, the apartment deserves some warmth, color, and finishing touches. It looks like someone went to a sale at IKEA and then stopped in at Best Buy and got a deal on an oversized TV. This location is too nice to be decorated like a motel.

We love Pacific Grove and make it a point to return for an annual reset. This time our trip fell 2months after an unexpected injury/surgery so relaxation and recovery were our main goal. This place was so cozy, clean and comfortable. Perfect space for a casual couples weekend getaway. The check in process was smooth. We were even able to collect a forgotten item thanks to the great communication from our hosts. Would definitely return to this space, grateful we stayed!

We stayed at the Pebble Beach Lodge two days before staying at in Pacific Grove. Tough competition but the ocean view (block away) and proximity to downtown and lovers point along with everything a couple needs including well stocked kitchen equipment made it a wonderful experience. Bring your own spices. The entire area is amazing and the people so friendly. Also any golfers should play Pacific Grove Golf club. Don’t underestimate it.

Older, small unit but well appointed and in a terrific location. While you really can’t see the ocean from the living room, you can walk to it just a few houses away. Pacific Grove is also walking close and the Monterey Aquarium and Cannery Row are very close also. Unit is fine for a couple or single. Great, comfy King bed. Laundry is downstairs in the garage and requires an app and credit card. Only issue was hot water in the bathroom; sink was an ongoing problem and sometimes the shower too. Communication with management folks was excellent and check-in was super easy. All in all, I’d certainly come here again.

My husband & I spent 3 nights here for our 25th anniversary. The location is wonderful since it's right off the beach and close to shops & restaurants. The unit is small, but not cramped for 2 people and had everything we needed for our stay. We would definitly stay here again.

We really enjoyed our trip, the views and the town. Very safe and quiet area. It did get a little hot in the day and several windows don’t open so I would suggest ceiling fans and another fan for the living room.
Also would be nice if there was a comfy chair in the living room. Bathroom was spacious and all was very clean.

This is the perfect spot to stay for a quiet getaway exploring the PG/Monterey area. It was close enough to walk to many areas and you see the bay off of your front step. Lovers Point is literally steps away. The property itself was comfortable and well equipped.

Great VRBO. Nice one bedroom with well-equipped kitchen. Best feature is the close proximity to Lover's Point, restaurants in Pacific Grove - all within walking distance. Also, it is right near the bike path that goes into Monterey. Don't expect a place to sit with a view of the ocean.

Also we walked on the lovely trail along the ocean. I have only one gripe. There were only 2 bath towels, 2 wash cloths and 1 hand towel; and we were there 5 nights. We did find extra towels and hand towels in the closet, but no wash cloths. I didn’t feel like doing a load of wash everyday just to get a clean wash cloth. The inside of the unit was clean. The outside, on the other hand, could have used some tidying up. Mainly the windows, which were filthy and detracted from the ocean view. I would stay here again, and bring my own washcloths!!
