Charming getaway in the woods, with all the wonderful ‘summer’ smells (pine paneled rooms, wood burning fire pit, smores and marshmallows!!) as soon as you open the door to reception.
Our room would’ve benefitted from better lighting (esp in the bath) and black out shades

The staff were unbelievable. Kind and inviting. Really made you feel like they wanted you there. Since the hotel did not have many guests that evening, they upgraded us and said we could stay in any room that was available for no extra charge. Who does that anymore? Callicoon does! What a breath of fresh air.

Has everything for a fun easy vacation
We booked through Booking.com a rate that included breakfast but there is no included breakfast. The property remedied this, however, without issue.

The amenities were great, the pool, yoga deck. Staff was very kind. Scenery was beautiful.
For the price, there was no sort of room service, you'd have to walk to the office if you needed anything for your room (toilet paper, towels etc). With the AC runnings the rooms were full of moisture, the bed sheets literally felt wet which was super uncomfortable for sleeping, and very soft beds as well which I don't prefer. No mini fridge in the room either. The pool bar prices for a drink were very expensive as well. Getting up to the yoga deck was pretty steep, not meant for anyone with physical limitations (which luckily I do not have). The price included breakfast on booking which callicoon said was wrong, I never got refunded for those breakfasts I paid for, and breakfast for 2 at the resort was $75.
