About this house rental

Situated in Saugerties, this lovely house for $249 per night is a great choice for your next trip. Apartment attached to larger 1800s Saugerties village home, own separate entrance. It is less than one block from the center of town, and walkable to various bars, restaurants, galleries, etc. It has all of the necessities for a comfortable stay in this Hudson Valley town. Note: this unit is not recommended for people who have difficulty with stairs because there is a steep twisting stairway. Also, we are very pet friendly so if you’re allergic or don’t like animals then not the place for you. The house is in the Village (town) of Saugerties. Saugerties is near the mountains and heavy snowfall is possible. Please prepare with proper gear, and note that snow removal may not coincide with your stay. Winter Rules: 1. Rates reduce on 11/1 thru March 31. 2. We charge extra $50 a day for heating fuel which is based on 10 gallons of heating per day. Anything less will be refunded on checkout. No charge for electric heat. Since we are in a rural mountain environment, please be prepared for many indoor and outdoor critters and insects. We do our best to rid the unit of spiders and other bugs don’t be too surprised if the very determined bugs in Saugerties make it into the unit. We do remove them on each cleaning but drain flies are common and little fruit flies near windows. Again we remove these and regularly exterminate but they are a reality of life in the area. Any interaction with these insects that are native to the area does not qualify for any refund or compensation. 1. Very pet friendly, many guests bring dogs, and a cat formerly lived in the unit. Therefore, this place is not ideal for people with allergies or sensitive to prior pet guests. 2. There are two units in the house but there is not a connection between our 2 units other than between two external doors. 3. Longer term stays are possible, but access to the unit for mid term cleaning is required for stays over 1.5 weeks. Late Check Out If available, $25 extra fee until 5 PM Pet Policy 1st Pet = $50 per stay 2nd Pet = $75 per stay More than 2 pets requires pre-approval and requires $200 per pet per stay

We had a great time here. I hate staying at generic hotels, so this was a great find. It felt like home! There is some traffic noise, but a pair of earplugs solved that. Everything was very clean. The place is a short walk to town, which is very cute. We didn't get to use the firepit because of rain and wind, but it is a nice setup, with plenty of wood in the pile. We had two cars, and parking was a bit tight, but managable. One unpleasant surprise was we heard footsteps on the staircase to another apartment quite loudly when people came in late at night, and you can hear people walking around upstairs. Overall a great place to stay.

My second stay at this property. Perfect location- easy walk to great restaurant’s downtown. Comfy bed and plenty of clean towels and linens. The Pacman machine was a fun throwback ! The property manager is super friendly and responsive. Nice to sit at the fire pit in the evening.

Love the neighborhood. Quick walk to lots of restaurants, cafes and stores. The fire pit is awesome. We had a great time here.

It was a perfect spot for our family of 4 spending time in the area. Everything is walkable. Bluestone coffee was a delicious way to start the mornings and Tavern across the street has incredible view of the river/bridge and waterfall. Beautiful and relaxing spot for a drink and appetizers after a fun running race in Rhinebeck! And the kids LOVED the old school Galaga/Packman. Thanks!

We had quite a wonderful stay at Steven’s property! Within walking distance to not only town but the Garlic Festival as well. So many great restaurants and coffee shops and stores right there! Everything in the house was very very clean and it is well stocked with anything that you might need. The television is also set up with many streaming services which we took advantage of. Really great place to stay when visiting Saugerties or any of the neighboring towns. We definitely hope to be back sometime in the near future.

Very nice place to stay that has your every need covered, and a very quick response from Steve for any thing you might need. Great location to downtown Saugherties, within walking distance to book stores, coffee shops, antiques, and a wide variety of restaurants. I highly recommend this place.

The location in town was convenient and the apartment itself was very nice. One thing of which potential renters should be aware is that the bedroom is just steps from Partition Street, which is a major traffic route. There were trucks passing close to our window early every morning. If you slept soundly, probably not an issue; otherwise, prepare accordingly.
