Lovely little cottage, private, beautiful location. Beautiful to stroll around the farm in the twilight. Amazing location. Small but very romantic and had everything you need. Better than the photos suggest.

We had a wonderful time staying at Rauðuskriður farm! The location is fantastic and incredibly convenient for exploring—literally just a short drive from Selfoss and ideally positioned near Skógafoss Waterfall, making it the perfect basecamp for South Coast sightseeing. It is a beautiful, peaceful working farm, and we absolutely loved seeing the horses and cows on the property.If you want a peaceful country retreat with beautiful animals and an ideal location on the Ring Road, it is a great choice!
There were just two minor points to keep in mind. First, the access road going into the farm was quite rough and bad for about 4 km, so you'll want to drive carefully. Second, we had a small issue with our room setup; we explicitly booked a double bed but arrived to find two twin beds instead. When we asked about it, we were told we could just push them together ourselves. While that wasn't quite the level of service we expected for a confirmed booking type, the rest of the stay was lovely.

Private bath and kitchen.
Didn’t feel the value was there, especially compared to the three other places we booked through Booking.com during our recent visit to Iceland. We were disappointed with our assigned “Franzy House” which is not as visually pleasing as all the other cottages on site, in age and construction.
