Beautiful cosy cabin, lovely decoration, pretty views, well-equipped kitchen, big hot tub. Very easy check-in process. Cool location at the foot of a ridge between Hveragerdi and Selfoss (about 10m drive to each). Great bakeries and swimming pools in both towns. Walk to the hot river from Hveragerdi highly recommended!
One of the rooms is a mezzanine that opens onto the living room, it was not a problem for us but just something to be aware of. Mattresses were quite good but we found they dipped a little in the middle. Hot tub didn't always get up to temperature but the host was very helpful with troubleshooting suggestions.

Sfeervol huisje met gezellige ramen, mooi terras en hottub. We hebben het hier erg fijn gehad.
De matrassen in het tweepersoonsbed op de begane grond zijn te dun. We hebben het beddengoed verplaatst naar de vide en daar 2 matrassen gebruikt. Je kan beter vragen of de eigenaar direct de goede matrassen opmaakt. Het bed beneden is echt van slechte kwaliteit. Verder is het huis echt perfect!

It's literally the best accommodation! It's pretty close to Selfoss so it's really easy to get groceries. There's everything you need in the kitchen to cook.
The host is very responsive and nice. The cottage itself is very clean, cosy and comfortable. The surroundings are dark enough for you to see northern lights.
Could have a bit more light in the kitchen area, and perhaps add a dishwasher :)

Ubicación muy bonita y tranquila, la cabaña está justo al pie de la montaña. la comunicación con el propietario excelente. La cabaña era muy cómoda y calentita, una de las habitaciones está en la buhardilla, a los niños les encantó, fue como una especie de acampada. La cocina con todo lo necesario para una familia de seis personas.
Por decir algo, haría falta un poquito más de luz en la zona del fregadero.
