The food was excellent, both dinner and breakfast. We liked the character of the old pub too
Our bed was uncomfortable and the property could have done with a good clean. The barman wasn’t very friendly, not what you expect in hospitality.

Lovely country pub with exceptional staff and good food.
Our room was not fit for purpose. It was totally impractical and there one area where you can stand up straight. This might be acceptable if the cost wasn’t the same price as a London hotel. The staff are letdown by the shabby fixtures and fittings. The pub was very busy but the staff were cordial and extremely helpful. I think they could do with a little more support from the manager.
