Super friendly staff at check in, even though we were a bit early. Rooms can be opened with a code, which was new to us, but it is very convenient. Breakfast was very good.
Liked the room, the beds were comfy unfortunately we did not have time to get into the hot tubs in front of the hotel.

Easy check-in/-out and big parking space. Great restaurant in walking distance (Vinstofa Friðheima) and generally well situated for sightseeing. Good value for money. We really appreciated the mosquito net too.
Breakfast was a bit disappointing and we were kinda sad that the hot pots were only open from 3pm-9.30pm. Also, the rooms get kind of cold... even in August.

Close to Friðheimar and nice breakfast
For starters the hotel did not have a soul. Self check-in and nobody to welcome you. Entering the place made you feel like you were in a shed, as the floors were hollow and the rooms very boxed off. The beds were awful, so hard and not a big bed but a combined one. It’s a good place to stay if you don’t care about accommodation and don’t have bed preferences but for me it’s not a hotel — rather just accommodation.
