It was a pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was comfortable and clean. It was a bit smaller, but there was everything I needed. It was also quiet, and the air conditioning worked perfectly.
The receptionist, Susan, was the sweetest receptionist I have ever met. All the hotel staff were lovely in general.
The breakfast was simple but good (eggs, sausages, fries, bread, olives, ham, a variety of cheeses, cereal and more).
The hotel is located very close to the Grand Bazaar and a tram station. There are also many shops nearby, selling everything from food and clothes to cosmetics.
I honestly don't understand the negative reviews. I would stay here again. There was absolutely nothing to complain about.

We really enjoyed our stay at Serai Hotel! Our towels were changed every day, and the breakfast each morning was a lovely way to start the day. The hotel offered great value for money and was absolutely worth the price.
A special thank you to Engin at the reception, who was incredibly helpful, friendly, and always ready to assist us whenever we needed anything. His support made our trip to Istanbul so much easier and more enjoyable. We truly appreciated his kindness and willingness to help us throughout our stay.
Nothing major to complain about. We had a very pleasant experience overall.

The staff at the hotel were very friendly, helpful, courteous, and polite — especially Ferhat and Deniz, who truly stood out. Their exceptional service made our stay much more comfortable and welcoming.
The hotel's location is excellent, right in the heart of the old city. It's very convenient, with easy access to restaurants, the Metro, and shopping centers — all within walking distance.
There are a few areas that could use improvement. The room felt quite small, particularly if you're traveling with multiple pieces of luggage, and it seemed like general room maintenance could be better. Additionally, the free Wi-Fi was quite slow and unreliable. Overall, we didn’t feel the experience offered full value for the money spent.
