We loved our stay at Cornerstone in Mallaig! We wish we could have stayed longer. The room was quaint, comfortable, very clean, and the view of the town and harbor from our upstairs window was refreshing! The bathroom was nicely updated and well lit. We did not have an opportunity to eat at the restaurant because it was booked for the evening, but it was a lovely little dining spot. The location is conveniently close to both the ferry terminal and the train station. The thing that put Cornerstone over the top and made it our favorite place we stayed was the lovely owner, Sharon, and her son. They are the sweetest people! They were very accommodating and ready to help us! They went over and above to make sure we had everything we needed and in assisting us in any way they could. They genuinely care for their guests and want them to be welcomed and comfortable at Cornerstone!
I was aware when booking our room that it would be upstairs and no elevator/lift was available. Just for awareness for those with mobility issues like myself, the stairs to the room were narrow, steep, and had a 90-degree turn halfway up, and there is no handrail. However, as I stated previously, Sharon's son helped with our luggage and it was upstairs in no time! Sharon was also very kind and willing to help us get up and down the stairs safely.

Location lovely with view of the harbour. Easy to reach from the station and central for all of Mallaig. Very comfortable and like being at home.

Location was convenient. View of the harbour wonderful. Great to have a fridge and area to sit and eat. Very friendly staff and helpful. Comfortable bed, lots of hot water.

A fabulous shower and a great location
A lot of flies on arrival in the room and the common areas. Laundry hanging in the stairwell confused me to start with as I wasn’t sure I was in the right place
