This property was everything we could’ve expected for our extended weekend getaway. The location was fantastic - within walking distance to several cafes, restaurants and local bars. It was also close to the pink line which provided easy access to public transportation. The property was easy to access and neighbors were friendly and respectful. This property was thoughtfully set up and stocked which our group greatly appreciated! We would stay again and recommend to others.

We were very happy with our stay here! This property provided us with a comfortable, cozy, clean, and convenient place to enjoy our time exploring Chicago. It's such a beautiful spot and in the middle of so many things to do. Many food options and things to explore within walking distance! If something is not, it is also a very short walk from a train station! With the apartment itself exceeding our expectations, the host John did as well. The commutation with John was great. He was very accommodating to all of our needs. All of his recommendations were spot on (food, activities, ect)! This added to our great time! We will definitely stay here if we are in town again. 10 out of 10!

We came to visit colleges with our family. The host was very responsive and we enjoyed our stay. Plenty of room for the 4 of us and convenient location to the pink line for exploring the city.

We had a great 2 night stay in the Villa. Check in was easy and we were glad to see it looked just like the pictures. We had 5 adults and one toddler in our group. We did not cook, but we did eat in the apartment and there were plenty of plates utensils, and everything else you might need. The jars of snacks and candies were a nice bonus and our little nephew was in heaven. The bathrooms were well-stocked with extra supplies. We were glad to have dedicated parking that could accommodate our minivan in the back. Definitely close quarters inside, which is what I expect from staying in the city. There was a park with a nice playground just down the street. We ran into John once and he was friendly and helpful.

We rented this property for a college friends girl trip. Very clean, cozy and personal touches throughout. Host thought of everything you would want during a stay. Neighborhood was great! Loved neighborhood and transit station within walking distance. I would rent this property again. 👍

We stayed for the weekend of Riot Fest. This place is adorable, clean,very well stocked on necessities, in a great neighborhood, super close the the pink line, and John was an awesome host. I cannot say enough great things about this place. If we do Riot Fest next year I will definitely try to book this place again!

Everything was great! The host was responsive and there were many thoughtful amenities in the unit. While the VRBO “OneKey” sign in process to the website or app is a complete failure, the owner of the unit made sure we had everything we needed to get properly checked in and were comfortable.

The apartment is quite small, but makes use of the space it has well. It is well located in a quiet & walkable neighborhood. Be aware that, while the queen beds in bedrooms 2 & 3 are pretty firm, the king sized bed in bedroom 1 is extremely soft, providing very little support. This is a matter of preference, so, while it wasn't comfortable for me, if you like super-soft mattresses, you will like it quite a lot. Otherwise, the place had all we needed for pur stay.

Couldn’t have been happier with this 3 bedroom gem. Clean, we’ll stocked, really comfortable beds. Short walk to parks and restaurants. Easy Lyft to downtown. Great way for my brother, sister and I to treat our mom to an 80th birthday celebration.

Everything was wonderful, one of the most charming places we’ve ever stayed in. Check in was easy, free parking space a definite plus, convenient to the train. Little Italy has many wonderful restaurants, try Stax and Eggsperience for breakfast/lunch and Rosebud for dinner. John was very responsive when we had an operator error using the coffee maker (yes, it works just fine….when the switch is on, lol; however, this was before coffee). Highly recommend staying at John’s lovely townhome.

We all loved the apartment. Beautifully decorated, nice little amenities like snacks and coffee available. The rooms were comfortable and neighborhood is so beautiful. Walked down to the local shops for some excellent croissants. We stayed in little Italy because it was close for the Fulton market wedding reception we attended. Also close enough for a few trips in to downtown chicago for rehearsal and wedding venue. We would definitely stay in this apartment again when visiting chicago.

Being on the main floor was convenient, just a short stairway from the street. The pink line (L train) is just a short two-block walk away. It will take you to many places and also connects with the other lines and buses to get you anywhere you want to go in Chicago. I recommend doing this with. 3-day CTA pass vs driving, since you have to pay (a lot) for parking pretty much everywhere anyway. Check out the Rosebud for the best lasagna we ever had! There’s a little Italian Ice place called Mario’s on Taylor Street that’s a very popular spot for good reason. Sometimes the line is long but it moves fast. Highly recommend this place!

We had a very enjoyable time in the property and it afforded us a very nice alternative to a hotel. Area was pretty and easy to find. The Villa was very well kept and clean and had pretty much everything we needed to make our time there easy and enjoyable. Couldn't recommend enough!

My family and I stayed for 6 nights recently. Despite a few comments below, the apt is truly 5 stars, which did not detract from our overall opinion of the place. First, John was extremely responsive throughout the process. We enjoyed meeting and speaking with him. Next, the location is amazing. It reminds us of our old neighborhood in Brooklyn, NY and that helped us enjoy the area even more. It's an easy walk to the Pink Line and neighborhood restaurants and stores. As all of the other reviewers have stated, the apt is great so not much more can be added. A few tidbits that may be helpful to others and some suggestions: - This is a renovated apt in a traditional (old) row home with other apts above (and below) and wood floors. You will have creaky floors and hear footsteps above you. Although our kids are older, we know this info may be helpful for families w/ younger kids. Because we are used to these types of bldgs, this doesn't bother us. - The king-size bed is a bit soft and likely needs a new mattress. The others were great. That said, we would absolutely stay here again. Thanks for your hospitality, John!

The owner was helpful with recommendations! The unit is a couple of blocks from the L pink line. Many walkable restaurants and stores. We would definitely stay again.

This place is amazing and the owner is so very kind and helpful. The area is nice, safe and amazing pizza and Italian ice!! This home had everything my family needed, we will definitely try to stay here again.

Just a fabulous property! Ditto all of the positive comments in previous reviews! Great quiet safe neighborhood, great food options, so close to the Pink line Polk station and several bus lines that quickly took us right where we wanted to go. ( The $5 per day pass for the CTA was the best bargain of our stay.). Clean, spacious, bright, comfortable, attractive decor, thoughtful attention to details, kitchen and bathrooms well supplied with all needed items and little extras. Perfect choice for a Chicago stay!

Property was extremely clean and everything was attention to detail from the robes down to coffee pods.. The location was amazing! Walking distance from great restaurants. Safe neighborhood. The host was very accommodating and easy to communicate with..If I could give it more than 5 stars I would. Amazing overall stay

This home was clean and extremely comfortable. The beds felt like clouds. The towels were so soft. They had robes for all rooms. The owners thought of everything and had extra toiletries, coffee and snacks available. The street was quite, cute and safe. Walking distance to convenient stores, restaurants and Starbucks. I would highly recommend this rental to anyone visiting!

We loved The Villa in Chicago’s Little Italy. The brownstone unit has been nicely modernized , and had everything we wanted from beds to linens to dishes. And well located in nice walkable Little Italy neighborhood , sandwiched between U of Illinois and the Rush /UIC Medical campus. Close to several upscale restaurants, and numerous casual spots. L station two blocks away , but you can also drive to downtown in 10 minutes. Also just 25 minutes to Midway Airport. Host John was friendly and responsive. We’ll be back!!

We really enjoyed this home away from home. We had a girls trip to Chicago and this location was perfect. We enjoyed our morning coffee together before going into town. It was cozy and relaxing which is exactly what we needed. The amenities were perfect. It was very clean. And the little extras like snacks and chocolates made it even better.

The first word that comes to mind is perfection. This home away from home is fitted with EVERY amenity and I mean every. It is beautifully appointed, clean, quiet and located in a wonderful neighborhood with restaurants, museums, and parks within walking distance. I could live here! When we come back to Chicago this is the only place we will stay! The hosts are the best!!

The home was magnificent and it was located close to everything. Convenient to down town area. Only issue we had was the AC would not cool and it would run all night.

This was the perfect property to stay in for a family visit to the city. Lots of room to relax in a great neighborhood that was less than 15 minutes drive from all the major Chicago attractions. Host was wonderful to work with and really did have everything you could possibly need. Will definitely recommend to all our friends and family and stay here again next time we are in town.
