The apt is specious with a small kitchen. Nicely decorated and they have made it rather safe. Bathroom was fine with a small shower which made it a bit difficult for my husband. Noisy area but when windows are closed you can not hear all the noise from traffic and cafes. Access to Netflix and Amazon prime videos was a bonus since we spent bunch of time inside due to the rain.
The host was kind and made sure to connect us with the drivers and tours. And a great bakery/cafe near by made our mornings.
The streets were dirty with piles of trash and grafitti everywhere which is rather unfortunate. It was a bit disappointing even though I knew we were going to stay in a busy area. I hope they can recover from Covid and other issues soon.

The apartment was very tastefully appointed, wonderfully equipped and extremely clean. It was just phenomenal—there was a FULL complement of toiletries, including a toothbrush, toothpaste and shaver, multiple shower gels, conditioners, hand creams, the list goes on. Plus, free Netflix and Amazon Video and enough breakfast items to last four times the duration of our stay. The apartment was located in the pedestrian area of the old town centre—couldn't be better! And the landlady was just a delight! I will definitely stay there when I return to Catania.
It's really hard to find fault with this accommodation at all. The landlady even offered to organize an airport shuttle! The only thing we didn't like was the muffins, but there were more than enough alternatives for breakfast: cereal, yoghurt, fruit, toast, coffee, tea, water, etc.
