About this condo rental
Nestled in La Pointe, this lovely condo for $253 per night is a great choice for your next trip. This unit is in the heart of downtown Madeline Island. Walking distance to restaurants, bars and beaches. This is an ideal place to relax and take in the views. Your rental unit is located on the second floor and has a panoramic deck to enjoy morning coffee a cocktail or just to soak in the scenery. This includes a massive deck with plenty of seating and tables to enjoy additional views or shared with other company if you so chose. We have created a bbq and beer garden as well. Use one of the two grills and courtyard area for wonderful meal outside. The lodging includes one bedroom and a bunk bed (note: bunk bed is in the living room and not in a separate bedroom. See photos) allowing for up to 4 guests. Please note that the max guests allowed. If you exceed the max amount we may ask you to leave the property and no refund will be provided. The main bedroom has a Queen Bed. The bunk bed is an adult sized with one 8" and 6" thick mattresses. The Bell Street Lodging was constructed with concrete forms. The concrete forms offer a quiet sanctuary within your space. Or step outside and walk a 100 yards to Tom's Burned Down Cafe. Tom's is an island music oasis. Not to mention spectacular for people watching. Enjoy a short walk to the Beach Club for a sunset view and refreshment. Your family could enjoy Grampa Tony's also within 100 yards of your stay. If you enjoy the convenience of staying close to the action this is the accommodation for you. One flight of stairs, unpack and park your car for the rest of your stay if you chose. The Bell Street is a bar/restaurant/event center. Since it is operating as a bar/restaurant/event center there may be an event with live music/speeches or late night activity. You may be a part of that event or renting during that event. We can't guarantee that you will not hear the music or the activity. Unless there is a wedding event, the music will stop by Midnight and the Event will end no later than 1am, the other nights the music should stop between 9 and10pm . We want you to be aware that there may be an event on the day that you book your reservation or sometime thereafter. We ask that if you stay with us that you are aware of the potential event noise and that this will not be a reason to ask for a refund. There are a total of 4 units as a part of this building and there may some noise from your neighbors (similar to an apartment). We just want you to be aware this is not a single family rental unit. Please be mindful of the Ferry schedule. We can not offer a refund if you can't make the last boat. Please check their website for any travel advisories before traveling. Also, if you are booking very close to your arrival date please pay attention to our strict cancellation policy. Note: Check in time is 4pm and check out time is 10am. Please note due to the very high lodging demand we cannot offer early check in or late check out.

At first glance it was a really nice place. That was until we found street and narcotic prescription drugs (with labels scratched off) in the night stand. They state "The concrete forms offer a quiet sanctuary within your space". Yeah nope. Walls are paper thin. You could hear everything. So it was far from a quiet sanctuary. You could literally hear someone fart in the next unit. There was a dirty plate and a dirty pan found mixed in with the clean dishes, so we washed everything we used before using it. Who ever is in charge of cleaning and inspecting definitely didn't do their job. When certain issues were brought to the host attention there was just excuse after excuse on why it was like that. We will definitely not be returning or recommending this place to anyone. The island itself was amazing. We will be returning to island just different accommodations.

It was centrally located. The condo was spacious and clean. I would definitely stay again. Communication was very good with the host. Madeline Island was a quaint little place for a weekend getaway.

This property is perfectly located in the center of town. It was so relaxing to sit on the deck and watch all of the community activities. We enjoyed a scenic day at the Big Bay Town Park, and enjoyed
live music at The Bell Street Inn. Our unit was spotless, spacious,and updated. The hosts made everything super easy during our stay. We couldn't have asked for more! Thank you!

My husband and I finally got to have our wedding party after long delays due to COVID, and we had been working with the Bellstreet for lodging since day 1. Dave was so fantastic to work with throughout the entire process and made sure our stay was special and perfect. Dave also helped us through some last minute wedding issues that happened to us and truly allowed us to have the best wedding week, he even checked in on us when we arrived. The location in town is perfect and walking distance to everything. We could have asked for a better stay for our wedding week!

This location was wonderful! We were very pleased with our stay. The space is very large and well furnished and decorated. The outdoor space was lovely, and we enjoyed sitting on the balcony during a heavy rainstorm. Our only complaint was that the couch was pretty well-used, and there were TONS of crumbs between the cushions. We threw the extra sheets and comforter over it to make ourselves feel more comfortable. I recommend that couch is replaced or VERY well-cleaned.

The condo was exceptionally clean and comfortable, the location is just a short walk from the ferry and local shops. The kitchen was well stocked with pans, dishes, utensils and the bedroom/bath had nice linens, towels, etc all very fresh. Really appreciated the outside balcony space and enjoyed watching people and island life. Would recommend taking screenshot of checkin/wifi information before coming to island as I had no phone signal/could not access info upon arrival, thankful Dave came right over to assist within a minute! Also recommend bringing along food/snacks from the mainland as the local restaurants were almost all closed down midweek when we were there, so grateful for the local market offerings.

Everything was better than expected. The space was large and clean. It didn’t have garbage bags so we used our disposable grocery bags, other than that the house was a central location that fit perfect for what we wanted.

Another great experience!
There is something about the island that keeps up coming back for more. This was our 8th time on the island, and our 2nd time staying at Bell Street. We love how big this space is and having it right in the middle of town.

Furthermore, there was a faint sour furniture smell. It was not strong enough to ruin the stay, but I would recommend possibly replacing the furniture or cleaning them a bit more. Our family really enjoyed our stay here, even though it is only a one bedroom there was so much room for our family of four to relax and spread out! Great Location on the island!

We were so impressed with our spot on Madeline Island! The lodging is situated across from the main road, so that everything was convenient but it wasn't noisy at all. Rooms are well laid out with plenty of storage, We enjoyed sitting on the deck, where you could watch the activity and hear music drifting from various venues, look down the road to the harbor, and sip your coffee. The laid-back island vibe was lovely. Beds were comfy and kitchen had everything we needed. I liked the bathroom setup , too. Bonus - the farmer''s market set up right down the street from us, and Grandpa Tony's (kid-friendly menu and ICE CREAM) was just across a large expanse of lawn. We had a wonderful time! Thanks, Dave!!

Perfect location. Great accommodations-this place is huge for 4 people. Only one private bedroom. Great balcony overlooking the ferry, lake and Grandpa Tony’s with amazing ice cream.

In-Town Perfection
We have visited the island multiple times over the last 15 years. This is the first time staying right in the middle of town. The room was amazing. Clean, spacious, had A/C, and was within walking distance to the shops and bars/restaurants. Being housed right there we were able to have our family split and go off on their own for some walks, shopping, moped riding, or for drinks. We highly recommend Bell Street Tavern and Lodge!
