Ascot Cottage is a lovely cosy exceptionally well equipped and clean cottage. My daughter and I stayed for a week - we requested the beds to be set up as twin beds rather than a king size bed. Very comfortable. The cottage is beautifully decorated with lots of little special touches. Parking was always available, just up the street a little (not far at all). The internal stairs up to the bedroom and bathroom are narrow and slightly windy (as I read in other reviews) but this wasn’t a problem for us, especially with the sturdy handrails.
Sheriff Hutton is a great base for exploring York, the moors, Scarborough, Whitby, and the other quaint villages nearby.
We highly recommend Ascot Cottage!

Beautiful house in a lovely village. A perfect base for sightseeing. The house was tiny, but every need was catered for.
