Our room was spacious and comfortable and had a view of Tianmen mountain. Steven offerd to provide guidance re visiting Zhangjiajie Park and Tianmen Mountain but we had already done our research and were very familiar with booking on Trip.com.
The upsell was a bit annoying: we were asked about three times if we had booked our tickets. We were told that we were welcome to do our laundry for free but the dryer would be an extra 30Y. If you request a packed breakfast, there is an additional charge. For the breakfast there was a choice of toast / dumplings / pancake (which is actually a Chinese meat pastry), plus an egg, plus fruit, plus little packaged processed baked goods. The basin in the bathroom was so large that there was very little space to put toiletries.
