Not offering food on site makes life a bit more difficult. There is a Londis across the road at the filling station where you can get a nice coffee in the mornings or grab a bite to eat. That said there are multiple places to eat within walking distance and the car park was safe.
On a few occasions we had older and very drunk patrons try to join our conversations. Harmless but uncomfortable, but the guys we played darts and pool with were fantastic local guys - a lot of fun.

Cosy room with fairly good facilities and being conveniently located on the high street. Parking is so easy. The staff there is not only friendly but also quite thoughtful.
Accommodation is in a separate building at the back of the pub in a beer garden, and the tables and benches are just few meters away from the room door and windows. We had a ground floor room. Just try thinking about the noise , laughters and drunk customers after 9pm but before the pub shuts. Few pairs of ear plugs were provided in the room that already told you something. However, I have to say the noise finally settled and it wasn’t too bad in the end. We managed to sleep well

No more and no less than I needed. Excellent value, nice staff, great pub. I always try and stay at the Swan when I go to good old Newport.
All good!
