The people staying there were very polite and considerate, the bed and room / bathroom were clean and the terrace is just amazing. The check in process is easy and facilities are very modern. I slept very well for 4 days and had a great time there.

The pool upstairs. The codes for the rooms so you didn’t have to worry about losing a key. The common areas
Hair and Body soaps in the showers, weren’t filled up regularly, especially when I needed to use them.

My first hostel experience and it did not dissapoint. Everything was good. Pool, terrace and ocean view is a big bonus. Breakfast could have a little more variety but it was still amazing to start the day with it instead of buying and prepairing own meal.

The building is nice and well kept. The bathrooms are clean and the beds are fine - definitely good enough.
The kitchen is very well equipped. Breakfast is coffee, bread, ham, cheese, yogourt and some fruits.
The staff present (8am-noon) were kind and courteous.
No staff on site except during limited hours. Bad communication, making it hard to drop off bags outside of the check in hours, even if approved beforehand.
The pool was closed. The terrace was under renovation. Nobody advised.
No staff except from 8-12 more or less. Meaning it’s a very self serve hostel.
During my stay a drunk guest arrived at 3 am, passed out on the couch, left toast in the oven and nearly caused a big issue. Thankfully other guests, who woke up due to the horrible smell, put the fire/smoke away and saved the day. I understand the hostel can’t be blame for the actions of an idiot.
That being said, saving money by not staffing the front desk 24/7 can have very dangerous and expensive repercussions. This time, the owners - who only send automatic WhatsApp messages but are nowhere to be seen - were lucky it wasn’t the case. Hopefully this is a wake up call to be better.
