The location is excellent, despite being one floor below ground, this basement flat has a wonderful view of the colluseum. One of a kind! It felt safe and secure. It was quiet and didn’t find the evening noise on the street affected us at all. Considering its central Rome it’s phenomenal we couldn’t hear the street noise.
It was nice to find it had lots of space, we could have come with another family if we wanted as could have used the 2 sofa beds! Also the owner was very responsive both before during and after our stay. Advising us on parking locations (would recommend not trying on street as it was very very busy, but the secure garage parkaggio down the road).
The kitchen is well equipped and there was a nice bottle of fizz (which we left as don’t drink but appreciated the sentiment!) the bathrooms felt clean and so did the kitchen too. Air con worked well.
We already informed the owner, who was apologetic and said will be sorted before the next people stay, so hopefully will be rectified, but despite not opening any windows or doors to outside when in the apartment we were inundated with mosquitos in one bedroom in particular. We must have killed about 30, and got bitten by many more on our 3 night stay. There was also a nasty drains smell emanating from the bathroom and darker green room which was off putting but hopefully all these things will be rectified for future guests.
Confusing lighting and blackout blind lowering system! Still couldn’t work it out at the end but all these things totally minor and didn’t detract from what a wonderful time we had staying at this apartment.

Amazing location looking out at the Colusseum. The apartment was spotlessly clean and had everything you could need. Host left us a bottle of Prosecco which was lovely! Beds are comfy and bathrooms have great showers. Restaurants and cafes steps away. A fantastic place to stay.
Only thing missing was a full length mirror.

Proximity to the coliseum was great, secure location, close to many cafes and activities.
Cleanliness, mildew in the bathrooms. Bleach needs to be used in the bathrooms because ventilation isn’t great, if you open the window then drain flies will appear. One of the bedroom’s beds has been sat on in one spot too many times so there’s a week spot and I had to sleep on one side of the bed. Floor needs a deep clean. Light switches needs to be cleaned, I used a Lysol wipe and brown came off. Espresso machine is glitchy and would over flow. Washing machine out of service.
