I liked that esthetically the hotel respects the environment around it as it is made of 2 stores houses surrounded by plants. Everything is kept very clean. The bathroom has 2 sinks. The bed was really nice. The terrace amazing, really spacious. The hotel restaurant (Moyo) is good and you can also walk along the beach to meet some other places where to eat or chill during the day.
I suggest walking along the beach or otherwise taking a tuc-tuc to move around, don't walk along the "main" road as there are not many lights and you could feel a bit uncomfortable in the evening. Also along the beach some local people or Masai will stop you to sell tours or things, which is a bit annoying if you want to spend some time in peace. But this is happening everywhere in Tanzania and Zanzibar, so just get used to it.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Without a doubt, the biggest highlight is the staff. Everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming and always willing to help. Whether we needed a taxi, assistance with our bank card or help finding an excursion, they always did their best. A special thank you to the whole team – they really made us feel welcome.
The hotel itself is beautiful, peaceful and very well maintained. Our room was spacious, spotless and comfortable, with hot water, complimentary drinking water, coffee facilities and a nice private terrace. Housekeeping was excellent, and every evening the staff prepared the mosquito net and sprayed mosquito repellent, so we were barely bitten during our stay.
There are just a few areas that could be improved.
The hotel is quite isolated. This isn’t the hotel’s fault, but it takes around an hour to reach most attractions, so if you want to explore Zanzibar, you’ll need to budget for expensive taxi rides.
Breakfast was decent but offered very little variety and unfortunately we didn’t enjoy the dinner menu. The music during dinner was also far too loud, making it difficult to have a conversation.
The laundry service was much more expensive than expected (around $65 for one basket), and the clothes were simply washed and returned without much attention to detail.
The beach in front of the hotel didn’t match our expectations. Because of the tides, the sea is very far away for much of the day, so it wasn’t the ideal place to relax or swim.
Finally, we think reception should be available a little earlier in the morning. We needed a taxi at 8:00 a.m., but there was no one at the reception desk to assist us.
Overall, we believe this hotel offers good value for money. The property is beautiful and has a lovely atmosphere, and with a few improvements it could be an even better experience.
Most importantly, we would like to thank the entire team for their kindness, professionalism and outstanding service. They are truly the hotel’s greatest asset.
