The location is across the road from the beach where swimming and surfing is done.
Price is reasonable at 49usd.
A lot of surfing instructors are waiting in the shore to teach. Helpful and technically good.
The beach is awesome. Soft beige sands, cool clear water. Clean shore. No fees.
The building is new and well
maintained. Amenities are just whats needed.
Water is the washroom is strong. Enough aesthetic to take photos.
No free breakfast but a great resto is just across the property. Breakfast, lunch , dinner with delicious food is available.
Shops and restos are accessible around.
The popular Betaz is like 1.5Km away by a nice walk.
Has a spacious shared balcony to hang around with other guests.
Staff are efficient and friendly.
Check in time is flexible to room’s availability. We checked in 12 noon instead of 2pm.
Check out time is strictly on 10:30-11 am.
Bed soft to our preference.

Waves Hiri is in an ideal location right across the road from the beach and in theheart of the main village area. The room is very spacious and has a comfortable bed with a/c, roof fan and a fridge & the room balconies all overlook the beach, great place for a stay.
If anything, maybe it might get a little noisy in peak season time being just near a few restaurants and bars, we stayed in mid-October and it was not too crowded and noisy.

Lovely place. Clean. Right on the beach.
The staff were mostly young boys more interested in their phones than helping. They had a restaurant but never offered us menus. Not the friendly helpful service we have had everywhere else in Sri Lanka.

It’s located near the beach.
The bed is comfortable.
The room is new and clean.
Not value for money. Payment is only in cash, no receipt is given. Zero information in the room on wifi and check out time. No shower gel nor shampoo. The water bottles in the room were already open. Room had low privacy without a curtain, only black out curtains, so if you didn’t want to be seen in your room by people passing on the balcony or staff sweeping you had to darkern your view, so not much joy in having a room with a sea view. They provided kettle and mugs but no tea bags. Room had minimal furniture, just a desk, a chair and a coat hanger. Room lock is a padlock.
