The check in experience was very smooth and the staff were lovely. It is right opposite the station and near everything we needed and more. The welcome water and mints made a big difference when you have travelled over 4 hours (and after work too). Having the welcome booklet is how things should be done - thank you. I have visited many places at this price point and you have to fend for yourself. Bed and pillows were very comfortable.
The ladies showers - might I encourage the staff to investigate the second shower on the left as you enter (next to room 11) runs extremely hot to scalding. I had to jump out a couple of times while the first shower I could not get to warm up at all and went back to the other one that ran hot - something is not quite right otherwise fantastic and I will be back later in the year. I will recommended this place to others. Two bedside lamps would be helpful - not a deal breaker.

The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. The bistro food is great, and we had fun at trivia.
The hallway had a smell, not sure if it was the carpet or something else. Definitely a smoker nearby. We left our window open for fresh air and train and traffic noise is the trade off.
