It’s a very long time since we were last in the ship in and we were very impressed by the way it had been refurbished. Dining room bright and airy and our room was spacious, comfortable,clean and the little extra touches were very much appreciated.
The help yourself breakfast was a very welcome surprise but if I’m being really picky, a wee coffee maker would have nailed it 🥳. The room was clean and tidy but there were a few sticky rings(probably from a glass)on my bedside table that had been missed. I left my phone charger and it was difficult to get in touch by phone and when we did get someone the promised call back didn’t come.

Lovely shower and modern bathroom with plenty of towels. Large bedroom. Comfy bed. I especially loved the large communal kitchen with kettle and toaster. Some cereals, jams, breads, and fruit juice where you helped yourself. The tv had Netflix, Ytube and catch up channels. Great for transport into Edinburgh or Musselburgh. Earplugs supplied. Lidl next door for supplies.
Smell in the bathroom, l think there is a problem with the drain. Blind didn't work properly in the bedroom. A blackout blind or curtains is needed. The tv was very small, l didn't think they still made them that size. No microwave in the kitchen area. It was particularly noisy one morning at 7.30am due to works right outside my window. However that wasnt the fault of the hotel but Scottish water. Furniture a bit mismatched and dated. I think the rooms could do with being updated for the price charged.

It was not obvious that the kitchen was to be a shared facility, so waking to find others already using it was disapointing.
