Great location very close to the pier and main strip in Santa Cruz. We were able to check-in early, which was much appreciated as we arrived on an early ferry. The room was small but comfortable and totally fine for two people for a few nights. The common room and shared kitchenette on the first floor was very practical, and free water was provided.
Nothing major, but there was a bit of confusion when we first got there, even though I had messaged the day before and was told to come early no issues. The place has a lot of potential I think but felt a bit soulless - maybe just because it was empty (I think). The bathroom could need some ventilation.

Comfortable bed, hot shower, good wifi. Place is close to restaurants and the center of town.
The AC was so loud it was painful even during the daytime and I could not sleep with the noise, I had to put a wet towel on me as too hot to sleep without AC. And the neighborhood was noisy during the daytime tho not at night. Staff was so rushed in checking me in that she did not tell me about the filtered water dispenser or the wifi password for my room, and I forgot to have her cut the ziptie off my duffle bag so I had to go back down. My room was on the third floor with no handrails so I requested a taxi for the morning of departure and was told the driver would help with my bag - but the taxi didn't show up!
