We came here after some friends recommended it to us and wow. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. The hotel is set in an incredible location that feels almost impossible to find. There is also a lovely restaurant upstairs with really delicious food. Now we understand why everyone seems to be talking about this place.

Morena has been my absolute favorite place in Sri Lanka. The food is incredible, and you can feel that every detail has been carefully designed with intention and taste. Waking up, stepping out of bed and going straight for a swim feels like an absolute dream. Everything about this place is special. I would recommend Morena a thousand times over. ❤️

The location is very good , view from bed room is excellent. We had a good stay bcz the staff was very helpful and friendly.
Because it was off season they had very limited food menu. We wanted to order dinner but we were told they don’t take orders after 4pm. And bcz it was our first day and we had a 6 yo with us it was little inconvenience for us. The beach lawn area didn’t have lights so you cannot chill in the evening if you want to access that area. The balcony had a leakage of water which was not cleaned and it had dead insects on that. Plus the restaurant only serves vegan food with very limited breakfast menu which was not mentioned while booking

Stylish and well located a few KM outside Ahangama. We paid $90 a night which was okay, however I see that they are charging up to $200 per night which is not a good price.
Loved the private beach area, we spotted sea turtles from
here. Hotel was quiet and we were the only people who used the sunbeds/pool which was nice.
Sri Lanka hospitality is some of the best in the world but it seemed some of the staff here that memo.
Room wasn’t ready when we arrived despite them asking our arrival time and it was clear they very quickly cleaned it. Dust and spiderwebs everywhere and the previous guests rubbish left in the room. Sewage smell in the bathroom. Mugs and cutlery were dirty at breakfast.
Bar/restaurant closes at 4pm and there isn’t much within walking distance for food/drinks.
Hotel is on the main road so heavy traffic starts about 4pm and is very loud, this combined with the sound of the sea, it was hard to sleep.
Hotel feels tired and needs a lot of repairs. The most expensive place we stayed in our 2 week trip and the most disappointing. All the others were 10/10!
