We had a really good time at River View Villas, Aluthgama. Nice clam and quiet spot, nice private pool and a great location. The staff were very friendly, especially Roshan, Rukshan and Raja. They were always around to check on us. Breakfast was amazing with the river view. Excellent customer service.
We also fished at the hotel and caught some fish, which we then released back into the water. Beautiful views and good spot for eagle watching.
The manager, Mrs Minsara took good care of us. If we return, it will definitely be because of the service from Mrs. Minsara, Raja, Roshan and Rukshan.

Location of the property is excellent, if you are looking for a calm and relaxing holiday this river side property is amazing.

The cabin on the boat is excellent. Lets you have a mini-yacht like experience at regular prices. You get a view of the serenely flowing Bentota river and densely tree-lined river banks. The river bends a lot so your view is better than that of a typical river.
The room itself (cabin on the boat), is very clean , neat and tasetefully designed.
Nothing to complain about. Great value at this price point.
