Location was great for my work in the area, the Lodge is sited on a B-road not far from the A449 with ample parking with a Bistro attached. The area is quite and peaceful with lots of countryside to admire. My ensuite room was perfect enough space to move around with a King Size bed. Shower, WC and basin all as you would expect, cupboard space for clothing etc.
A kettle, mugs and a selection of tea and coffee plus biscuits are with the room.
The basin in the ensuite needs a new plug as this still allows water to escape even with it being closed but that is a minor point. Overall I have issues with the room and it suited purpose for my weeks stay.

Nice spacious room
Breakfast was a bit weird , we thought we had been served left overs as the baked beans looked like old chilli . Bacon was cheap smart price rashers and very salty. Sun-dried tomatoes not fresh.
Staff did explain once they asked how it was that it was their take on a breakfast .
Totally understandable but menu sid traditional breakfast. Out in the middle of the countryside and no fresh produce.
They did discount the breakfast though after our feed back

The owners of the cafe are amazing
Very very loud especially as we had to have the windows open. So every car and especially motorbike we could hear.
Never been anywhere that didn’t have a fridge in the room.. the cafe is only open Wednesday-Sunday till 4pm so there’s no way of keeping cold water or a bottle of wine in your room. Would be worse if you had kids too.
We had to use the rubbish bin and buy ice to put in it just to keep our water and wine in it.
But the rooms are pleasant other than the above
