Location
No bedside tables, no beside lights and a free standing bath which did not invite showering.

Great staff. Lovely hotel and room, with some gripes. Good food, both at the bar, and at breakfast.
Room 9 needs a permanent fan as during My stay, even late evening the room is very hot, I did not get a good night's sleep. the layout of light switches and power outlets could be improved. Other bar/restaurant businesses in close proximity to the hotel played very loud music, and had loud & rowdy clientele until late in the evening; although Three Salmons have little, or no control over this, it should be communicated to future guests

Everything was perfect. The staff were amazing as was the room we stayed in.
The evening meals were exceptional and the breakfast was a joy to eat.
The garden is a lovely area to relax and reflect on the day while enjoying a drink of your choice from a well stocked bar.
Personally, there wasn't anything I found to dislike with regards to the Three Salmons Hotel.

The area, and the outside facilities.
My husband was born in Caerleon and as a child would say to himself that he would stay in this hotel one day, well I arranged it for his 83rd Birthday, what a mistake. So disappointing for him.
Definitely in need of TLC, no bar open, no chef(which we were aware of) but very little staff at all, Monday and Tuesday was an absolutely close down in the hotel. We were the only guests.
No handle across the bath to assist getting in and out of the bath for a shower. Surely Health and Safety requires this. The one member of staff who served our breakfast on Tuesday was very helpful and pleasant, we asked if a window could be opened in our bedroom, and was told that it was difficult, but that she would put a fan in the room for us which she did, in fact she added a fan to the one already there which made the room more pleasant for sleeping.
Almost like magic on Wednesday the front doors were opened, staff cleaning and it was as if the hotel came alive. So disappointed with our stay and would not recommend The Three Salmons hotel, well at least not on a Monday or Tuesday.
