This was a real find! The room was large and airy and very well-appointed. Despite being so close to the A40, the room was very quiet. I couldn’t hear the traffic at all and my husband said he could just about make it out, but it didn’t disturb our sleep at all. I can’t quite believe how little we paid for our stay. There was a well-equipped dining room available for guests to use, as well as a guest lounge, which we did spend some time in. The fridge in the lounge was handy for keeping our breakfast items cool. However, there was also a restaurant nearby that looked really nice and had we known about it before hand we would have gone there for breakfast instead. The welcome was very friendly and we got a lovely pot of tea and biscuits when we arrived, which was very nice and relaxing after a long drive. We will definitely stay again when in the area.
There really wasn’t anything negative about it. The water pressure in the shower was a bit low, but even so it was perfectly serviceable.
