Very good

Lovely very old building, popular with locals, great location on the square, dog friendly hotel. Friendly helpful staff.

No breakfast option available due to staff shortages, we knew this beforehand though. Very early street cleansing operations in the town centre were a bit noisy.

Just what I we needed.

Location, good beers, good atmosphere.

Could not open window bed wide so as it was summer it was very warm.

Okay, but I’m my opinion, not worth the money.

The property was conveniently located, and the staff were friendly.

The property clearly needed some love, at first look the property looked clean and tidy, however when the batteries in the remote ran out and we needed to use the button on the TV and thick dust came off, it was clear that it was in need of a deep clean, lamp shades/tops of door frames had the same issues. There was also a shower gel dispenser in the bathroom with no shower gel in there, glass jar for fresh milk with no fresh milk and a water jug with no water. The bathroom plug in the sink also doesn’t fit the plug. The bed is very hard and the duvets were paper thin.

Good stay, nearly perfect.

The location and character of the property were excellent.

The curtain rail wasn’t fixed and fell off on first use. Room only made up if you asked for it which wasn’t clear.

Nice pub in the middle of the town.

WiFi didn't work in my room. None of my friends could get any wifi in their rooms either.

Great, central location. Room small but well equipped and furnished, and sparkling clean.

Check-in was efficient but not exactly friendly. Noisy: water running, chatter from bar, traffic outside (a downside of location, but beware deliveries to local supermarket and a road sweeper - that decided to do the road outsde the hotel three times that morning - start very early). Bed on castors that moved every time I went near it! No food available.

Accommodation would have been fine if not for the noise from the live band in the bar.

Room was fine, if a little small, and location great. Nice white fluffy towels and comfortable bed.

My room (No. 2) was right avove where a live band was playing on Saturday night until 11.00. They were so loud my floorboards were vibrating and it was impossible to read or watch tv, let alone go to bed. This should have been stated on the website and the rate reduced accordingly. I often stay overnight in pubs and expect some noise from the bars below but this was something else. I was essentially paying dearly for a room I couldn't use until after 11.00 pm. Would also have expected breakfast in a pub serving food and at this price.

Great stay, pity about the parking

Great location with a very comfortable room and everything we needed. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The only issue we had was not being able to park very close to the room.

Staff helpful and happy. Room very comfortable and clean . The location was excellent close to everything.

Great location. Nice bar for drinks

The location is great. Right on the little high street.

We booked a room with a bath but didn't have one. Possibly because of the room swap on arrival once they realised we had a dog.

So good we booked another night !

Everything ! The Staff so friendly and helpful. The decor was very classy. Our room was cosy and comfortable with a lovely 4 poster bed. The food was lovely and well presented, reasonably priced. Very dog friendly . So good we booked another night and will definitely be back !

A great stay in a great location with exceptional staff.

The staff were exceptional. They couldn't be more friendly and helpful if they tried. The rooms were really nice and they were really clean. The pub had a great selection of drinks and did great food too.

There were no electrical sockets near the bed... I like to charge my phone nearby.

Superb

Really friendly staff. We felt very welcome throughout. We enjoyed food in the bar and drinks. The staff were very accommodating for a dairy intolerance to.

Almost everything without expection was excellent. Only one small thing to note was that the door lock on room 8 was broken. Didn't have the opportunity to tell anyone as spotted this late in evening.

Fantastic stay in this beautiful place.

Great location, beautiful room, friendly welcoming staff.

Could do with a key drop off box for return of keys. The bar area was locked so had to leave with cleaner. Not a big problem though.....just a suggestion.
