My partner and I escaped our busy city life and stayed the weekend at Cielo the Cottage. Our stay was peaceful and we were able to enjoy the town of Julian, as well as the surrounding area. We highly recommend this cottage for stargazing, quiet, and great quality time together.

When arriving to the cottage parking is horrible , but that’s minor compare to the other things. We weren’t aware there was no TV , we plugged the heaters in and it blew a fuse so we were without power the first day/night. 2nd day when going to bbq there was NO propane which was a pain in the ass. The bed was literally horrible and so uncomfortable. The morning of leaving my girlfriend and I were actually talking about the negative things that happened while staying here and then as we’re talking the shower turns on. So I had to turn it off. How the heck did the shower turn on by itself. But maybe that’s the reason why there is a dream catcher and pink Himalayan salt lights in the house. (To catch the bad spirits ) on top of all that all the hook to hang things on the wall fell off the wall every time you hang something up. Why get paid a cleaning fee if we have to make sure the dishwasher is loaded.

The home was peaceful and you cant beat morning coffee and the birds off the balcony! Kitchen and bathroom clean and work very efficiently! The couch was comfy and it was a great space to disconnect I am I am grateful there was no TV. Grateful to spend quality time here with my family! Thank you!

I enjoyed a 2 week stay here with my parents and 2 young children. It suited all our needs. The kitchen was perfect for preparing and cooking family meals. The kids especially enjoyed playing on the outside deck/balcony during the day - plenty of space for my 4 yr old to build epic train tracks with his wooden train set while my 2 yr old rode around on a tricycle. And my parents loved the quiet peaceful evenings and starlit night sky views.

We had such a great and comfortable stay babysitting while our daughter and husband attended a wedding while visiting from New York. The cabin met all our needs and our host was very accommodating. We enjoyed the view from the deck as our grandbaby played in the blow up pool we brought along. Fabulous ribs and fixings and delicious pie from town. Great time!

It was absolutely beautiful and everything was organized and clean! I would definitely come back and stay here! It was the most relaxing and amazing vacation home I’ve ever been to! So happy with the place!

I stayed at Cielo with three friends for the weekend and it was a nice time. The cottage was clean and as described. We really enjoyed the outside deck (with fire pit) as well as the fireplace inside. We found the beds to be small for sleeping two adults each (they are full size), and believe that queen-sized beds would offer guests a better sleep. Overall, our experience was positive and enjoyable. Thanks Bridgette!

We stayed at the Cielo Cottage for the weekend and had an exceptionally wonderful stay. The cottage has been remodeled tastefully with artistic materials and touches. I especially loved the blue teal vertical tile in the bathroom with slate floors. The kitchen also has been redone beautifully with quartz countertops, a nice tile backsplash and open shelving. The beds were very comfortable with soft cotton linens. The Kuerig expresso maker was a fantastic addition that we enjoyed on our peaceful mornings sipping our cafe lattes overlooking Julian and beyond. This is a truly enchanting place to stay and we recommend it highly.

The property is cute and cozy. We had 1 couple and a single person that stayed here. The cottage is small and therefore not much space to sit inside should weather be a problem. The deck is large and has a great seating area plus a gas fire pit. We did not use this seeing our stay was short. You feel like you are out in the middle of nowhere and it is perfect that the area is a dark sky community. There are no street lights etc so the star gazing is perfect. The heat was necessary and worked perfectly. We did arrive in the day so easily walked down the stairs to the cottage. Enjoyed our stay.

Great location. Cabin and view were lovely. Had everything we needed. Slow to get check in information and watch out for the hot water switching off at the electricity box. Otherwise a great vacation, breakfast on the patio was a treat!

Very peaceful and clean with a very nice view of the surroundings. Most everything was well provided and in very good condition.. The parking couldve been better and our ages being 55 + found the long darkentry stairs awkward, probably not issue for younger folks. Otherwise very nice.
