It's perfect for groups who are traveling and interested in New York City. Sorry, NOT the place for parties. But what it is is SUPERRR close to NYC, so just park your car on the block and take the train into the Big Apple! Close to Liberty State Park, wedged between 2 light rail stations so if you don't want to drive, public transportation is nearby. The Holland tunnel is an 8 minute drive. The home is Spacious and Newly renovated with a turfed backyard, fire pit, patio furniture, a grill, and hammock....a rare find! Smart TV in the living space with free tv applications for your viewing pleasure in addition to free wifi. There are No tv's in the bedrooms as this rental is intended for those who want to be out and about with close proximity to New York City. Super convenient bodega right across the street!! We stayed here to visit N.Y. The house was at a good location for us. A short walk to McDonald's, next took an (Uber 9$) to The Exchange place to catch the subway. The house was excellent with 2 bedrooms upstairs.

If you’re on a budget and you don’t mind the commute it’s a lot cheaper than staying in New York. The neighborhood is a little shady. I didn’t feel unsafe though the listing is a little vague considering it’s not two bathrooms it’s one and a quarter and when I mean a quarter you have to sit sideways on the toilet to close the door . We did see some roaches while we were there. The stairs are dangerous , very steep and small , an older person could not use those steps . the beds in the one bedroom, are just foam mattresses. I slept on the couch which had a lot of stains on it. There’s no washer and dryer and they don’t tell you that until after you’re there and you check in. I did not like that I emailed specifically to ask if there was a Keurig coffee pot and they said yes so we brought all our stuff with us and there’s a teeny tiny little regular coffee pot, there was only three rolls of toilet paper for five people. With the note to go across the street to the bodega who were out of toilet paper. Some of the things that I read on the other views that were not true is there were plenty of towels they had some in the bathroom and one on each bed and there’s plenty of dishes in that house. We didn’t use the backyard. We would’ve liked to of used the fire pit because it was cold but they didn’t provide any wood. I’m not sure where they would think you would get wood, the hammock is just a shell there’s no hammock on it. I would not stay again with five people .

Basic spacious property for four people. About hours travel by public transport to central New York.
Reported broken bed on first day and responses was to sort it out ourselves! So not best review of a comfortable night's sleep. Nothing done by manager even after a week's stay.

Location was great for us, close by to new york, neighborhood was good too, parking a little hard, but manageable, inside was nice and clean although we only used it to sleep it was a great place to stay, will definitely look for it in thr future.

"Free Parking" doesn't necessarily mean 'available' and not the best area for having to go out at night; however, for what we had planned for three days, it was close to our needs and served its purpose despite the tight squeeze for six

We enjoyed our time at this rapper/hip-hop themed house. We didn’t have enough towels or toilet paper at first but after reaching out the host sent us more. Overall it was good. We could have had more blankets, but it’s just fine.

The hip hop house was exactly as described online. The host was absolutely excellent in getting back with me before & during our stay! The main bed was quite noisy but the house overall was very spacious for what we needed. Plenty of room (2 adults, 2 kids) Very tastefully decorated and clean!

The price was great for what you get, the owner was great to deal with, and the location is convenient to get to malls and in and out of the city.
We like to have a little privacy so we chose this instead of a hotel downtown and we loved it. We had great weather so we used the backyard to chill in before we went out for the night. The sleeping arrangements worked for us with 2 teenage girls and my Wife and I. We are used to a bigger bed but we made it work except the one night one of the girls cranked the heat and then I slept on the main floor couch which was super comfy.
Parking is a little tight but we always found a spot for a big pick up truck even arriving late the first night.
Overall it was great place to stay with a some decorating that suited our family so "Hit Em Up" and book it!

We had another great stay at the Hip Hop House. So much so that we booked it for another stay already. It is our go to preference for any NYC trip. The Hip Hop House is exactly the way it is listed/described, even better in person. Communication is always on time and pleasant. We enjoy the neighborhood, and feel comfortable staying there. We recommend it to anyone/family wanting a reasonably priced, clean, nice house, environment close to NYC. We will definitely reserve again (we are actually). Thank you for another great stay!

I am a bit disappointed because The Hip Hop House concept sounded amazing. The pictures made it look super interesting. In reality the house looks exactly like in the pictures. My disappointment comes from the lack of supplies. We booked for 4 people and when we arrived there were 2 glasses in the cabinets, 1 coffee cup, no garbage bags,, no kitchen towels, we were provided 1 towel per person for a week of rental. One usually rents this type of places to cook and save some money, but the pans were very banged up and had baked on food residue. The cooking utensils were burned and not appropriate. The bathroom shower curtain liner had mold, the curtain was stained. The owner claims it was the cleaning ladies fault.
On the other hand, as soon as I called him, he brought me some of the missing items and gave me a small credit for the inconvenience.
The location of this house is amazing!!! Short waking distance from the train station. If you rent a car or come driving it’s a bit complicated to find parking, but we found parking every day for the entire week. Minutes from beautiful Liberty Park if you like to jog or walk.
Again… if they equip it properly and if the cleaning lady does her job, it will be a great place to stay.

Good place to stay
The good:
The location is reasonably convenient to get to NYC. The inside of the rental is redone nicely and was confirmable. The property manager was responsive when we needed things. Overall it served the need we had when staying there.
The not quite so good:
The neighborhood is a little scary, especially to the Northeast. The West side has a nice park and is the best path to get to the light rail. If encourage the property manager to ensure the floors are getting mopped between tenants - my feet were perpetually black from the dirt on the floors. The half bath is ridiculously small (like you can't sit straight on the toilet and close the door small), but it's better than not having it. The stairs are also pretty steep. There are a few maintenance items the property manager probably needs to take care of like: securing the dishwasher, leveling the stove, and fixing the broken floor heater that keeps falling apart.
Again, overall good place to stay.

die Wohnung in Bergen, Jersey City,ist für 4-6 Peronen gut geeignet: 1 Schlafzimmer mit großem Bett, 1 Schlafzimmer mit 2 Einzelbetten mit 2 ausziehbaren Einzelbetten, 1 großes Wohnzimmer mit großem Sofa, 1 vollausgestattete Küche mit großem Kühlschrank-Gefrierschank-Kombi. ausreichend großes Badeuimmer mit Bad-Dusche und WC im 1. Stock, kleines WC im EG, kleiner Garten mit Grill. Die Wohnung liegt in einem Wohjngebiet am Rand eines kleinen Parks und ist in ca. 10 Minuten mit der NJ Light Railway erreichbar, von der man nach ca. 15 Minuten in Jersey City, Exchange Place die PATH - Metro erreicht, die einen dann in 7 Minuten zum großen U-Bahn-Knoten World Trade Center bringt. Man braucht allerdings dann 3 Tickets oder MetrIn ca. o Cards: 1 Ticket für die NJ Transit Light Rail, 1 Metrocard für die PATH- Metro, 1 Metrocard für die New York Metro. In ca. 45-60 Minuten ist man von der Wohnung am WTC. Die PATH Metro fährt nicht sehr oft, am Sonntag nur aller 30 Minuten. Insgesamt eine sehr empfehlenswerte Unterkunft, sauber, modern und praktisch eingerichtet. ,

Hip Hop House Hooray!
We had an awesome weekend at this property. We were spending the weekend for our daughter's admitted students day at the college of her choice. When we entered the house it was exactly as pictured on the site. The owner communicated well with us. We checked in with ease, the unit was clean and ready for us, checkout was just as easy. The neighborhood was diverse and pleasant. The Hip Hop House lived up to its name with the Hip Hop theme throughout. We would definitely stay again.
