About this cabin rental
The lighthouse is located on 50 acres of wooded property on Rock Lake in central Minnesota (about 2 hours northwest of the twin cities). The 2,000 square foot lighthouse has seven levels, including the crows nest that is over 50 feet high, here guests can see over the canopy of the trees. It is a timber framed structure that includes 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
The property the lighthouse sits on is connected to 500 acres of state land, there is ample room for snowshoeing, cross country skiing and endless walks in the woods. The small lake (11 acres) is about 500 feet away from the lighthouse and there is private access to the lake for the guests to use as well as a campfire ring. We provide kayaks, a paddle boat, and a canoe. There is a swimming raft in the in the middle of the lake for the guests as well.

This property is incredible. My wife and inlaws (a party of 5 plus a 16 month old) stayed here and it had plenty of room.one thing I was nervous about was food but they've got a nice grill and a grocery story about 10 minutes away so it ended up working quite nicely.The lake was a great amenity and the stars looked awesome with not much light pollution.The property was clean and well cared for. My experience made this a very easy one to recommend. Excellent work guys!

The location is absolutely stunning—peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by beautiful scenery. It was exactly what we were looking for! Morning coffee in the crow's nest quickly became our favorite routine, with incredible views and plenty of wildlife sightings. The cabin itself is unlike any other and very well-maintained. The carpentry work and finishes are top notch! We also appreciated how smooth the check-in process was. Donna provided clear instructions ahead of time, and everything was easy to find when we arrived. Her communication was prompt and helpful whenever we had questions. If you are questioning staying here, don't, just book it! You won't be disappointed.

The kitchen had everything that we needed.As for the hot tub, we should have went in it on Friday when we got there because it rained all day Saturday which was a bummer. We did however, look in to see that it looked gorgeous. Everyone had a great time and we are passing on our picture to others.The only thing I wish was that the table was not so big. It is gorgeous but really hard to play cards on so we went to the 2nd floor and played on the ottoman. I know the game table was up top and would have been fun however we had my older aunt (84) and my sister (75) with and it was hard for them to go up all of the steps. That's all I have. We had a wonderful time.Thank you for opening this up for others to see. I really loved reading the books on how it and the tree house were made.
