Well where do I start? In terms of value for money, Hanora's Cottage is without a doubt one of the highest quality establishments I have ever stayed in. If you are looking for somewhere to get away from it all for a day or two, this is the place for you.
Beautifully furnished, absolutely fabulous food, friendly and attentive staff and situated on the banks of a stream deep in the countryside. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a jacuzzi-style bath. The breakfasts are amazing but the clincher for us was dinner in the restaurant each night after a day exploring the Nire Vally and the beautiful surrounding Comeragh Mountains countryside.
Dont come here if you want to be able to stroll down to the pub for a drink before or after dinner but if you want a little bit of luxury, nice food and a place to getaway and relax, look no further than Hanora's Cottage. One of Waterford's and Ireland's best kept secrets!

Amazing breakfast. Lovely food for dinner also.
Very kind and accommodating host and staff.
Noisy toilet when flushed in room. Location in mountains great for hikers, walkers and nature lovers. Would be great for someone recovering from an illness also. Lovely fresh air , good wholesome fresh, locally sourced food. A great retreat from constant "busyness", noise and fakeness. We loved it.

The setting of the building was beautiful. The bed was comfortable and bedding was nice. Lovely display of fruit and continental breakfast.
Missed message saying if you wanted tea and coffee in your room, ask a member of staff. Maybe staff showing you to room could mention. The shower was very stiff to turn and didn't get warm. Lots of dead flies in bathroom. When the heating went off the room soon got cold. Was cold in the morning, heating didn't come on until we were going down for breakfast. Cook breakfast was lacking. The two button mushrooms looked lost on the plate with the one small sausage, egg, one rasher, half a tomato, one slice of black and white pudding. Staff missed out on getting our drinks order. We would have had at least another 2 drinks each if we could catch their attention. When we did order drinks before food, they seemed surprised, but we had sat out in the hall with our menus for 20mins without being asked if we would like a drink.
