About this house rental
Casa da Fonte is located in the parish of Ginetes, on the western tip of São Miguel Island.
It is an excellent starting point to explore some of the island's attractions, such as the famous Lagoa das Sete Cidades, considered one of the "Sete Maravilhas de Portugal” (Seven Wonders of Portugal) or Ferraria's unique thermal baths and natural pools (less than 2 km away). Casa da Fonte is about 24 km from Ponta Delgada, driving through a beautiful regional road and with the sea nearby.
The space
With two floors, the house offers spacious and comfortable accommodation, including a suite on the lower floor. A number of amenities are available to make your stay enjoyable, including:
► Baby cot (on request at the time of booking) and baby table chair
► Oven, electric hob, toaster, coffee machine, microwave
► Cable TV and free Wi-Fi
► Iron, hairdryer
With its sea-facing front, Casa da Fonte is also an excellent place to enjoy the unique sunset that can only be seen from this side of the island. A large landscaped area allows you to share good outdoor moments.

This beautiful updated country home has kept its charm in the quaint village. Traditional Portuguese dishes are provided. The linens and towels are of good quality and the beds are comfortable. When we were there, the second shower did not work nor the stove top. There is no bathroom on the second floor. That aside, we enjoyed our stay very much. It was centrally located for our day trips.

We had 5 nights booked at this property, unfortunately didn't stay. After arriving (and struggling with parking), we found the floor dirty, which we swept; there were no covers for the duvets and one of the duvets had mysterious red stains. Glass shower door was kinda streaky and milky (probably hard water and insufficient cleaning). There's a lot of old items and furniture which you are not supposed to touch. We have realised "rustic" is really not our jam and decided to look for something else and luckily found another accommodation quickly. No thanks to local wifi which didn't even work in the bedroom.
